What a classic!!!!!!!!
So very funny.. Made me laugh that the wife MARCHED back in. I bet the younger brother had a good laugh to himself after he walked away.
I know I would have!
last night i posted a picture of my watchtower jack o'lantern and lyin eyes double dog dared me to take it to the kingdom hall.
sooo................. after the trick or treating was over, we loaded the kids in the minivan and drove to the kingdom hall.
i put the pumpkin on the railing on the front porch right in front of the main entrance.
What a classic!!!!!!!!

i've been reading this site for about 2 weeks.
the information and support here are great!
i'm trying to fade away from the jw's without having to da myself (because of my many jw family members).
Welcome Madison.
I have only been posting about 2 weeks now myself and I have found great comfort and support from everyone here.
It is such a relief to find people that understand and know what you are going through.
Welcome aboard. You will find your "haven of rest" here.
just sitting here watching the action, noting that a lot of it comes from a certain sector, nudge nudge.
thinking, why not set up a special area that would encompass the rollicking fun of people from this sector.
whatcha think, simon.
I agree that aussies have their own unquie sense of humour.. but hey i will laugh at anything..
Im with Prisca on this one
Oh yes.. I had a good laugh
there was an elder at our hall ,when he would call on someone , he would help the brother with the mic to find the person.
he did this by saying: " sister little in the front"....hehehhe ,, of course being bored to death, this always cracked several us of rowdy back seat sitters up.. here are more examples from our old hall.
sister key , in the rear.
I have tears rolling down my face from reading these stories. It is like where do I start. I have many memories of laughing.
One that stands out is back about 10 years ago and I was only about 15. I was giving a number 3 talk. Dont ask me what it was on. Our sound system back then wasnt very good and when trucks would drive past (as we were near the highway) and they spoke on their cb's it would cut in over our microphones.
Well I was giving my talk and I was just about to say something and this voice came over the speakers saying "anyone want some lovin tonight?? Well being only 15 and very nervous up on the stage, I completely lost it. the other 15 year old giving the talk with me also lost control.
We would compose ourself and then one of us would start laughing again and off we went. I spent the whole talk laughing.
You can imgaine I got a W for work on!
Another one was a elder was giving the public talk and the poduim that he stood at wasnt enclose so you could see all of him. My sister and I were sitting right up the front in, smack bang in front of him when all of a sudden he reached down and gave his groin a real good scratch. I dont mean a quick touch, it was like a 30 second thing. Well my sister and i just lost in. You have to picture the fact that when I laugh my whole body shakes so here I was right up the front, trying not to laugh but failing miserably with shoulders shaking.
The elder didnt miss a beat in his talk.. It was sooooo funny.
i must start by saying i am upset because i was going to attend my very first ex jw meet up this weekend and it has been canceled so i am not happy about that.. i thought that maybe we can organise our own meet up in australia.
i know it happens all the time in america because there seem to be more of them in this forum that get together.. as i have only just recently left the borg i would love to meet some people that are going through the same thing.. i would be happy to organise it.. of course everyone is invited not just us aussies!!!
would love you to come.. what do you think??
Well I agree.. Majority rules.
So I suggest the following
You choose a number between 1 & 4
1 Sydney
2 Brisbane
3 Melbourne
4 Canberra.
Post your decision and I will tally it up..
ps.. canberra is a good place to hold it..
