  i'm visiting hong kong at the moment and i'm on the underground train at 10 am - it's sunday morning.

  sunday is the day off for 200,000 maids (politically correct term is domestic helper).

  they are mostly from the phillipines.

  we entered fairly early, the elders had decided that since i refused to sit in the back, the family had to arrive first and leave first.

  this was to ensure there would be no condolences.

  #4 I log in at 8.30am when I get to work and log out when I leave work at 5pm. I will also get on at least 2 evenings a week for an hour or so.

  I average 40+ hours a week.

  First Holidays as a Non-JW

  this will be the first year i go through the holidays as a non-jw.

  and on top of that with beliefs that can best be described as agnostic.

  basically i think i probably won't do much different.

  This will be my first christmas since I was eight years old and boy am I looking forward to it!!!!!

  As a new step mother I am getting so excited in planning the christmas for the kids. I cant wait to put up the christmas decorations.

  I have already started wrapping the presents. For me it isnt so much "christmas" it is the family atmosphere. Getting together and giving each other presents.

  We still have "family fun days" as well where we have a party and give each other presents just for the hell of it.

  I do feel abit guilty but I am pushing that to the background.

  I brought my very first christmas cd last night and have it playing now!!.

  What??? I need to learn all the songs in time.. Cut me some slack... geeeze.

  By... you guessed it.. Two elders knocking at my door. I didnt answer it mind you. They didnt have any bibles with them which I thought was strange( I was peeking through the blinds).

  My father.. You have to love him. Dobbed me in to the local elders. But guess what,,, this little ducky is moving house veryyyyyyyy soon and will not be giving any forwarding details to ANYONE.

  I refuse to get df'd because they feel I am doing something wrong by "having a male flatmate".

  I have had some great suggestions from the board as to how to avoid them, and I will be putting some of them in place.

  Barry, thanks for letting me live there.

  In the whole 7 months I have been living here, this is the first time witnesses have knocked on my door. The mormoms have been around more then the dubs have.
