Hhhmm, making tracts exposing the WT pedophile protection and UN involvment. That sounds like fun. Do you just put them on cars, or go door to door, or what. Maybe we should have a international tract dat, and all distribute some.

by Brummie injust popped back in to tell you some gossip.
yesterday a freind to the exjw community decided to drop a couple of our little cards "the tuth about the wt" in appropriate places, anyway an angry jw saw it and smashed the windows of the freind...and got caught on camera doing it....baaawl...its all in the hands of the solicitors.
the angry jw then phoned the helpline number on the card with this really makes sense message "i just want to call you an apostate, thats all i want to call you.

I guess some will say that I'm getting old, but I don't get the dirty jean thing. I think I would like to see the return of clothing that looks washed.

I think it should be a memorial. Too many people lost their lives there, for it to be rebuilt.

What Double Standards Do JW's Practice?
by minimus inone double standard that always got to me was how a body of elders would talk about how a brother needed to "qualify" for some privilege by being a good example for weekend service and yet a number of elders would hardly ever go out in field service at all!
or how they would use 2 hours to literally gossip about everyone in the congregation, and then give a local needs talk on the need of not talking about the brothers and minding our own business.........what double standards got to you?

"YOU heard that it was said, You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy. However, I say to YOU: Continue to love YOUR enemies and to pray for those persecuting YOU; that YOU may prove yourselves sons of YOUR Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. For if YOU love those loving YOU, what reward do YOU have? Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? And if YOU greet YOUR brothers only, what extraordinary thing are YOU doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing? YOU must accordingly be perfect, as YOUR heavenly Father is perfect.
"Apostasy is, in reality, a rebellion against Jehovah. Some apostates profess to know and serve God, but they reject teachings or requirements set out in his Word. Others claim to believe the Bible, but they reject Jehovahs organization and actively try to hinder its work. When they deliberately choose such badness after knowing what is right, when the bad becomes so ingrained that it is an inseparable part of, their makeup, then a Christian must hate (in the Biblical sense of the word) those who have inseparably attached themselves to the badness. True Christians share Jehovahs feelings toward such apostates; they are not curious about apostate ideas. On the contrary, they feel a loathing toward those who have made themselves Gods enemies," The Watchtower October 1, 1993 p. 19.
"Shortly, the great tribulation will suddenly break out, moving quickly to a climax in "the war of the great day of God the Almighty." (Revelation 16:14, 16) It will reach a crescendo as Jehovah destroys this system of things and the figurative table at which the worlds nations have been feeding. Jehovah will also overthrow the entire invisible organization of Satan the Devil with its hordes of demons. Those who have continued to feed at Satans spiritual table, the table of demons, will be forced to attend a literal meal, no, not as partakers, but as the main courseto their destruction! See Ezekiel 39:4; Revelation 19:17, 18." Watchtower July 1. 1994, page 13.

What did Jesus REALLY look like?
by RubyTuesday inwhat jesus looked like doesn't really matter to me... in a faith that is moved by his teachings and not his looks, however it doesn't stop to amaze me why organized religion has gone out of its way to make us think he was gorgeous.
the following scriptures plainly states that he was'nt even just "average" looking but maybe even deformed.maybe it is important what he looked like....important enough to put in the bible and important enough for man to twist it...no twist isn't the word...lie!
visage =the face, countenance, or look of a person or an animal; -- chiefly applied to the human face.

Hey orbiting and JG, that's the picture I was trying to post. When I saw it, I was floored. I guess we'll never know for sure, but that's the way I had always pictured him. Maybe with a different nose, but close enough. The blond blue eyed christ with long hair never seemed right. Meadow is thankful someone around here knows how to post pictures. Maybe I should get a manual.

What does Hannibal Lector call a Jehovah's Witness? Free delivery!

Entering into Heaven/ParadiseA man arrives at the gates of heaven. The Archangel asks, "Religion?"
The man says, "Methodist."
The Archangel looks down his list, and says, "Go to room 24, but be very quiet as you pass room 8."
Another man arrives at the gates of heaven. "Religion?"
"Baptist."
"Go to room 18, but be very quiet as you pass room 8."
A third man arrives at the gates. "Religion?"
"Jewish."
"Go to room 11, but be very quiet as you pass room 8."
The man says, "I can understand there being different rooms for different religions, but why must I be quiet when I pass room 8?"
The Archangel tells him, "Well, the Jehovah's Witnesses are in room 8, and they think they're the only ones here."10. If you feel that death is much more important than birth, you might be a JW.
9.If you think Circuit and District Overseers stay in cheap hotels or the drafty homes of common neighborhood folk during conventions, you are a JW.
8. If you eat turkey on Thanksgiving and feel guilty about it but insist that it is only because they were "on sale", you are a JW.
7.If you have awful dreams about getting caught holding someone else's cigarette and no one will believe you that it's not yours, you're probably a JW.
6.If you have a child that is 3 years old that sits quietly for hours at a time while adults discuss mind numbingly boring topics around him, and you brag about him to all your friends... you might as well get a saddle for him and ride him because you broke his spirit and he is no longer a child. And you might be a Jehovah's Witness.
5.If you believe that God ignored everyone for nearly 2,000 years, then suddenly gave His truth to a man who sat around drawing pictures and plans of pyramids, you must be a JW.
4. If you insist in calling the New Testament the Greek Scriptures, you might be a JW.
3.If you've spent days at a baseball stadium and never saw a ball and didn't even have a beer, you might be a JW.
2. If you can have a Bible study without a Bible, you might be a JW.
and the number one sign that you are might be a JW(drumroll please)
1.If you have costume parties for the "young ones" within a month of Halloween, and, if you wrap presents in brown paper to give each other on "Family Gift Day", you are not only a JW, but a Worldly Wannabe and aren't fooling anybody.

New to JW and looking for the right associations.
by sunflwergirl420 ini have been studying to become a witness for about 1yr now and am doing what i can to become clean to be baptised.
unfortunately almost all of my friends were bad associations and i don't deal with them anymore.
i am looking for people to chat with who have the same goals in mind that i do.

Everyone here has said it better than I can, and they speak friom experience. Please listen to them Sunflower. Kudos on trying to get your life together! The JW's don't want you here, cause you will find out the truth behind the "truth." But you will find much needed support here, and probably make some wonderful friends. Please reconsider your idea of joining the WT. Check out the information here, before you take that leap. Again, congrats on getting clean, and I pray that you will have strength to stay on a good path.
