i can't help but wonder if it gets lost somewhere in cyberspace.

there are a couple of threads that are active at this time where the original poster did or said something deemed inappropriate....this was pointed out to them...threads locked or the poster retracted what they said...it should be over right?

but nooooo some people continue to kick that poster over and over and over.....with their mocking and cruel comments.

Financial Help.

hit my posting limit and am using my second account..... i don't know if anyone can help or not.. but i am in a desprate situation whereas i have to swallow my pride and seek out some help.. i am behind rent as well as my morgage ( i own a moble home on a lot rent).. need food as well.. phone needs to stay in service since i am deaf and need it as part my text communication for hopes of landing a better job.

sister can email me to let me know if a employer calls, so i can drive over and find out what's up from there.. i work at wal-mart and alot of us have our hours cut to 20+ hrs a week, so this is hurting me fianacially.. job hunts is hard since i am deaf since most employers seems to prefer hiring a hearing person.. i know of a deaf friend who is unemployed and he went thru 20 job interviews in a month.

none of them ever called or emailed him to say he got a job.. family can't help since they all have their own problems to deal with.. i can post all the info you need if anyone needs it, such as my landlord's address and my morgage address if anyone wants to mail a check directly to them.

I have been poor. I had not paid my rent for six months and had gone to my last court date and had days to either come up with the money or they were sending the sheriff to evict me. I gathered up all of my household possessions and clothes, cleaned and shined everything up and went on ebay. I sold evertything I had and the last thing I sold was my computer. I packed it up and sent it to the winner bidder. Thereafter, I went to the library to use the computers there. I didn't raise all the money but I got a substantial part of it. I paid my rent for four months and they accepted that. This gave me time. Time to get myself together without worrying about whether I was going to be thrown out on the street, time to look for a decent job and time to get my life back on tract. It was not easy. I was left with just the clothes on my back and an extra pair of jeans. I never thought of asking anyone for help. It just never occurred to me.

In the meantime I went to welfare and told them what had occurred and they told me next time to come to them sooner. They gave me food stamps and medical insurance and told me if I did not find employment in a month to come back to them.

Of course, all of this was not easy. But there are avenues and if one so desires help is out there. No one has to beg for money. There are social agencies all over that want to help. You need only ask.

Thinking about Bill Bowen...

i was looking over the thread... "should i support bill bowen?".

i realize i am one of the few people that gave bill somewhat of a difficult time pretty much from the beginning when it was not "fashionable" to do so.

it was never my hope to see the man reduced to what he has, but rather to gain a better understanding of the issues involved, the intents and goals of silentlambs and to see reasonableness govern everyone's actions in the whole affair.. imo, i don't think there is any other single person in the last while that has done so much to help address the issue of child abuse among jw's while at the same time exposing them for what they really are.

I just returned home from work and tonight is my meeting night. Here is the book where the information is contained.

Organized for Kingdom Preaching and Disciple Making published in 1973. It was referred to as the OR book. It was written by Ray Franz as an elder/publisher guidebook in handling or organizing matters in the congregation.

Perhaps someone can help me out and scan the few pages on how children are required to confront the ones they accuse. Thanks.

One of the reasons I said goodbye to the WTS was seeing time and again how slanderous people got so much support from persons who blindly felt they could do no wrong. In these threads I see the same thing. The slanderer is Bill, plain and simple. I personally don't think he ought to get away with it, though some of you do seem to think he should

I think you need to go and lie down. Obviously, this whole matter is making you delusional. No one, at any time, on any of these many threads you have been involved in, has said that Bill could do no wrong. NO ONE! In fact it has been quite the opposite. No one is following Bill blindly. We all see his faults and his shortcomings. All we are saying is that we see them, we recognize them and although we are saddened by them, we prefer not to throw the baby out with the bath water. It's has gone beyond something that he should or should not get away with. What if anything has he gained? Nothing if I were asked. He has lost a lot of credibility and support, but that does not seem to be enough for you. You are after blood. You will not be satisfied until he is crawling, whimpering along the ground begging your forgiveness. Not one of us is without sin. Not you or me or Mr. Franz. We are all imperfect and we all do things we wish we had not done. If anything, it's almost as if you are worshiping Ray Franz. I am sure he is a nice man, but for goodness sakes get a grip. (This too is not an insult)

So just keep on shouting out your defenses of the fabulous Mr. Franz. After a while it becomes as the old adage says "The more he proclaimed his innocence the quicker we counted the knives."

By the way, what do you think ought to happen to Bill?
