I've been in a relationship for 7 years. Most of it was long distance, but we still communicated through emails and phone calls and planned to visit each other until we could come together again. He left for New York last year and said he would try to start his own business and I would then plan on moving to be with him when we both finished school. Both of us were in college. It sounded like a good plan.
Until last summer, he told me didn't want to have a relationship any longer and that he was speaking with someone else and wanted to give them a chance. He didn't officially break the relationship until he came to me saying he was leaving me for this other woman.
Anyway, they spent 2 weeks together and he ended up dumping her saying he just didn't love her like he loved me. I felt like a fool, because I took him back.
Just last night, I asked him if he had sex with this woman and he said yes. It broke my heart and I'm sitting here in denial that he would do that and only spending 2 weeks with this woman. 2 weeks and he already had sex with this woman only a few short days after dumping me. He says he was stupid and wrong and that he regrets doing it.
Now, I don't even know what to do or to think... I'm just shocked and angry.

ummmm... okay Roman.
But anywayz, my dog also keeps doin' that. Everything would be fine and he'll just jump up and bark and duck his head to avoid being petted. I know his behavior and knows that he only does that if a stranger comes around. It looks crazy because it looks like he's doing that and trying to duck his head. I thought my dog lost his mind. But I went on and watched him one day and saw his eyes following around the room. He kept growling like something kept trying to follow him or play with him. I didn't see anything and just told him to hush up. But I followed him to the top of the stairs and he went off again and started backing away. I stood there looking at him and then turned to look back down the stairs and thought I saw something or someone out the corner of my eye. I waited and cold air rushed up and a blur of faint colors came up and stopped in the middle of the stairs.
lol Me and my dog JETTED!
I was like "OKAY! It's time for US to get OUT the house and take a nice LONG walk!"

Went for the food stamp interview
by Sadie5 inhad to watch a video.
they give you a type of card which can be used in the credit card terminals at grocery store.
the video was common sense things like don't loan your card out, separate your food from non food items.

I used to get embarrassed as a kid whenever I got sent in the store with food stamps. But it's just the same as money.
I'd make a run through the store and zip through the checkout and the cashier would always have to make an annoucement that I was paying with FOOD STAMPS.
I also remember the WIC for baby sis. I remember all the Juicy Juice.
The thing that always made me bow my head in shame was when they'd take the food away that we weren't allowed to get in front of everybody. People watching as they picked through the shopping cart and taking food out.
But I'm still thankful... food is food and you godda eat to live.

I don't agree with beating children in an excessive way like that. But for him to beat children that are not his own is something to be cautious about. He's a STEP-father and has no right beating those children like that. Not only that, but a grown man pulling a 10 and 12 year old girl's pants down and beating them is over the line.
I agree with jelly, it sounds perverted. As if he's gaining some sense of pleasure in doing it.

Peace and security?
by Nickey ini recently have a stumper in talking to my mother.
she's agreed that she's going to be open minded and hear me out because she's starting to have slight doubts about the organization.
but the one thing she always throws out is that the society said that there would be talks of "peace and security" and that they must be the truth since everyone keeps saying "peace and security".. i'm still learning myself, so i try to do some research.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm going to look into it so I'll be better prepared. I try to get all my facts straight so I don't get caught up. I've only been "out" for some months and still on shaky ground. Where I'm unsure if I'm doing the right thing and thinking I may be wrong about the society. Feeling like I'm some apostate/traitor. All those feelings rush me.
My mother is a very strong believer and I noticed that her "confirmation" of the society being the truth is the "Peace and Security" talks and 1914.
We'd go to the meetings and they'd give talks about the UN saying "peace and security" and it would hype everyone up. We'd turn on the news and they'd say they were trying to obtain peace and security.
From my understanding, they said they would say that in the future. There would be talks about it. But when they actually say they have peace and security was when the end would come.
I guess I still have alot to learn and to gain a deeper understanding of this. But I figure if I can get by the peace and security and 1914 issue, then I can slowly open her eyes... and even my own.

I recently have a stumper in talking to my mother. She's agreed that she's going to be open minded and hear me out because she's starting to have slight doubts about the organization. But the one thing she always throws out is that the Society said that there would be talks of "Peace and Security" and that they must be the truth since everyone keeps saying "Peace and Security".
I'm still learning myself, so I try to do some research. My question is, when did the Society start "fortelling" the "nations will rise against nation" and the "peace and security" prophecy?
It always brings me back to square one with her. I try to explain that one false prophecy spoils the whole reputation of being a true prophet. But she'll hit me back with "They were correct about the peace and security." And brings up the gray book they published. I don't recall the title. But it talked about peace and security.
My whole thing is, a false prophet may get some correct so as to decieve and mislead. But one false prophecy that doesn't come to pass, renders him false.
Is this "peace and security" even a prophecy? When did the society come up with this? What basis do they use in saying they correctly foretold this "prophecy"?
Anyone care to help me so I may overcome this roadblock?

Reading Older Publications Can Be Hazardous
by blondie inhow to use this index (1930-1985).
in view of the many years covered, the material indexed some decades ago should be viewed in the light of proverbs 4:18: "the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.".
a lot of the real truth about the wts i have learned through their own publications.

That just might be it Blondie.
Being that I was younger and still thought I was in the "Truth" at the time, it never occured to me that they were trying to hide something. Nobody stepped up and openly questioned it.
We were asked to throw away various publications at one point. I believe they asked us to do that on two different occasions. Saying our "enemies" could use something against us that was written in the publications.

I can remember an announcement made at the KH for us to throw away a certain issue of the Awake. Or any Awake that was before a certain date. My mother looked puzzled because she couldn't understand why they asked us to do this. Everybody asked how to get rid of them and they told us to just throw it away. I was 11 years old at the time... but that really threw me off.
They never fully told us why, just that we were to follow orders. I just remember a black trash bag full of the magazines.
Has anyone ever been told to do this anywhere else? I'm sure there's been other cases. But I'd just like to hear what explanation they were told.
