  JW Urban Legends

  did any of you hear any of the urban legends that jw's used to scare people into being deathly afraid of demons?

  for example i remeber hearing that a child brough a smurf doll to a meeting and upon hearing the name jehovah uttered it got up and walked out.

  we find god's name "jehovah" so many times in the old testament, but not at all in the new testament.

  jesus is called a "mighty god" in the bible.

  jesus is also called "father".

  i remember baking in the hot sun, with the outdoor district conventions.

  the only thing i liked about them was lunch time.

  back in the day, then i could grab the little coupons, ten to a page, each worth 10 cents.

  teddy bear sacrificed in danish bomb scare .

  a danish bomb squad shot to pieces a teddy bear left on the doorstep of a jehovah's witness hall on thursday evening with a note saying it contained a bomb, police said.

  a group of jehovah's witnesses on their way into a meeting had found the cuddly toy with a note reading: "if you touch me i will blow up, i am a bomb.

  hey everyone,.

  i grew up in ct, son of an elder, turned into pioneer, married early...etc....etc....all the while ignoring the wrong feeling in my stomach....finally my wife (now ex, but we are still really close friends) and i realized and got out, and took a bunch of friends with us.

  i've since moved out to the west coast, lived in sf for awhile, and just recently moved to the 'desert'......i'm available if anyone needs to talk, or rant, or wants to say hi....i'm 25 now and enjoying the experience of life, and wish the best for everyone here.. you can email me @ [email protected].
