Ok...one more. How about Sister or Brother everybadthingiscausedbydemons. You know them. Everytime something goes wrong. The car wont start 10 minutes before FS....MUST BE THE CAR DEMONS. Now it actually couldnt have been the fact that the car was passed down between 5 families. Never gets any kind of regular maintenance and when it does break down it gets repaired by brother knowitall who actually knows nothing about much but will swear to the contrary.

How about this one.....and I am probably going to get in trouble for this one....
Sister Biggestbehindyouhaveeverseen..... You know the one. She is always late and always has to get in the middle of the row right in front of you. You try to be christian but in your mind you say....damn...that is the biggest ass I have ever seen. How does she fit her behind into that chevy chevette of hers ??? Then your children begin to laugh and giggle at this solar eclipse size behind that is about 14 inches from their faces. And goodness forbid if she should fart during the meeting.

Sister Movestentimesayear, For one reason or another Sister Movestentimesayear cannot stay in on place for no more than 2 or three months. She always has an excuse and chides everyone in the congregation to help in the move. When you get there promptly at 8am nothing is packed or in boxes. Then just as we begin to help in the packing that she was supposed to do...poof....she HAS TO RUN TO THE BANK to get the security deposit...she is gone until all the packing is done. Then the triumphant return....then the bitching at who packed her can opener in with her books. And then there is the box that no one is supposed to look in or touch. She says it is memoriabilia from her mom and dad. We all knew it was her "BOB" ( battery operated boyfriend ) and other such things. Then the final touch... young brother uncoordinated breaks one of her ceramic figurines....she goes into tears for pity routine. What a sister !!!!!!!

OK....we all had them...perhaps we were one of them....STEREOTYPICAL WITNESSES. There were many stereotypes that proved to be in congregation after congregation. What stereotypical witnesses do you remember. I will start with two. Add your own favorites ....
1) Sister perfect : perfect hair, perfect comments, perfect everything....even has 3 extra pairs of shoes in the car "just in case". Has every conceivable item at her finger tips. Note : Watchtower conductor looks to her when no one else has there has hand up.
2) Grumpy soldier : Older brother who always seems he has a wild hair up his A@@. But he is the first to comment how happy the truth has made him.

WHY DO I DREAM ABOUT THIS?
by heyfea ini have left the organization for many years now and i am very happy about it.
however, from time to time, i dream that i am out in service.
i don't want to be there and i think to myself, just walk away, go home, it's just that simple.

I have those dreams about once every 3 or 4 months. Sometimes I am out in service, other times I am at a circuit or district assembly and then my name is called for a part that I hadnt prepared or even looked at. On dream I got up to give a part i hadnt prepared for....mumbled something for a minute or two, then the DO gets up and thanks me for that excellent part. I usually wake up in a cold sweat from those dreams. Cheers, Taz

Did you cheat on your monthly report?
by JH ini was always honest with my field service reports, until the time when an elder came over to give me hell because i had only 1 hour that month in the field service.
i told him that i was working 50 hours a week, had a 4 day district convention that month and couldn't do miracles that month.
he never accepted my explanation.. .

I was totally honest for the first 19 1/2 years. I never carried over time or counted coffee breaks. The last 1 1/2 years I cheated like a school boy during a math test. I would spend maybe maybe 2 hours a month and it was reported as 22. I would count the time conducting the WT or even parts on the service meeting. I would say to myself....look at all those unbaptized ones out there, I should count this time. LOL. I did have pangs of conscience though. Cheers all !!!!!

Witness Cruises
by undercover inanother post on another thread about a witness cruise got me to thinking about when the dubs would block whole sections of cabins on cruise ships and have "witness cruises".
i never went on one myself, but i knew a few that did.
i heard some pretty sordid stories.

I remember one elders school where they came down hard on cruises and JW internet dating sites too. I remember the practice sessions for the elders that had parts on the program. Man was the CO a harsh director. Every word was analyzed. I remember that a few of the elders that had the "skit" on handling overhearing about friends going on witness cruises and 2 of the elders had been on a few of those cruises themselves.

I have many negative memories but quite a few positives too. As nowisee said...public speaking is no problem. Standing in front of 300 employees to give some information is really nothing in comparison to spending 45 mins in front of 3500 at the Circuit assembly or over 8000 at the district assy. I know of many strong friendships I had and the sacrifices that they or I would make for one another. What a beautiful dream it was while it lasted. I know depression was rampant in our circuit. At least they stopped viewing it as spiritual weakness. Well...thats my two cents......another 23 cents and I can make a call on a payphone....lol. Cheers, Taz
