Will the U.S. still goto war? Would you support the war effort if there was no proof that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction?

To the US Military
by freedom96 inthere have been many postings regarding the possible war with iraq.
there are many strong apposing views, as to be expected.. i personally am going to thank all those who are in the military; my hat is off to you, and i respect what you do, and i am very thankful.
you are the ones that must go out there and defend our freedoms.. i don't think most people desire war, but sometimes there seems to be little choice.

Yadirf, grow up. You either elderly, or getting their and you still buy this bible stuff? Is it going to take another World War before you realize that we are on our own? Do 50 million people have to die before you realize that God isn't interested in what goes on down here? My advice is this. Take a dose of reality then shut of and salute the flag.

Holy Koran! Break out your calculator...
by back2dafront ini'm doing a little research on islam and the quran (koran) and i ran across the following website that explained why muslims think the koran is the only book inspired by allah.
i never heard of this before, and frankly, i don't know what to think of this.
does anyone have any insight on the significance of the mathmatics involved here?

The polynomial form is y = ax*2 + bx + c. Not ax + b and cx + d.

Some one may have posted about this already so forgive me if you are re-reading someone elses discovery. I sent a letter to the society asking them about the UN Scandal, and they sent back the same old letter that everyone else had right? Nope. A little different. Towards the end of the letter there is the sentence in the original letter that states,
"Still, the Criteria for Association of NGOs-at least in their latest version-contain language that we cannot subscribe to."
Well my letter is a little different.
"Still, the Criteria for Association of NGOs contain some language that we cannot subscribe to."
The UN NGO contracts have been pretty much the same for the past 40 years. So why say that their criteria was different in the past? Any thoughts? I will try to get a scan up tomarrow.

New to board-1st post
by kril inmy last attempts at posting were to no avail so i'm just going to test this out first and they edit and post something else.-it worked.. i have been reading a lot of the material on this website and find most of it interesting.
i'm still a witness but have some questions about bible/doctrine that haven't been answered to my satisfaction.
it seems that when i discuss things with people (i.e witness elders) they more or less don't listen to my arguements.

I'm still a witness but have some questions about bible/doctrine that haven't been answered to my satisfaction. It seems that when I discuss things with people (i.e witness elders) they more or less don't listen to my arguements. They can't wait to jump into the conversation to put down what I just said. It kind of reminds me of a bad crossfire debate where both people have made up their minds and are just shooting off words. Thats the extent of the debate, save that I try to look at all sides from a resonable prespective. I kind of was lead to believe that you guys and gals were hedonistic devils or as one brother put it "mentally ill". I have to goto a modern history class right now, but let me leave you with this. If I don't agree with the WTBS view of things, what benifit do I get by leaving? Why should I leave and loose all my family and friends? It seems like a lose-lose position.
adieu...
