  I Found Some Extremely Rare Rutherford Recordings

  i was blown away when i found these watchtower records with rutherford on them.

  these aren't the ones that were used door to door.

  these are 16 inch records that were sent to radio stations to broadcast rutherford over the airwaves.

  I was blown away when I found these Watchtower records with Rutherford on them. These aren't the ones that were used door to door. These are 16 inch records that were sent to radio stations to broadcast Rutherford over the airwaves. I cannot find a damn thing about them online. It's quite possible that I own the only existing copies of these.

  I can't just stick these things on my turntable to play them because they're far too large. I have a bunch of turntable parts, so I'm going to cobble something together to play these things. Should be an interesting listen! Anybody ever see these before?

  I found it at an antique store. I can't imagine why it was there. I mean, the information in this book is truthful, accurate, timeless, and was approved by Jesus Christ himself!

  The first real noticeable thing for me was when they were moving from charging for the magazines to a donation-based system. The WT wanted the publishers to pay for their placement magazines upfront, but also wanted the donations that they were getting whenever they did place a magazine. Shouldn't those donations go back into the pockets of the publishers, seeing that they already prepaid for the magazines? I guess not.

  The other one was the "genuine Christian love" that was displayed at the meetings. It was all so phony. Whenever I'd miss a meeting, I'd have everyone come and tell me how much they missed me at the last meeting. When I would attend regularly, nobody talked to me nor gave a damn that I was there. How could they miss me if they never even associated with me?

  I Indirectly Helped Someone Join The Troof

  hey all!

  long time no see.. a couple of weeks ago, i got a phone call from my jw mother.

  she said she had something interesting to tell me.... way back in 2002, i was moving out from my stupid roommate who was playing dumb jokes on me.

  A couple of weeks ago, I got a phone call from my JW mother. She said she had something interesting to tell me...

  Way back in 2002, I was moving out from my stupid roommate who was playing dumb jokes on me. I was able to get a female friend and her boyfriend whom she was living with to help me move all my stuff out of my place and into my parents' house. Apparently, my mother was sitting there doing her Watchtower study. Apparently my friend's BF took notice of the Watchtower magazine.

  Recently, he approached my mother. She didn't recognize her, but he told her who he was, and that he was now a baptized brother. :(

  He was a good guy, and it's a shame to see him join this lousy cult. I know my friend wouldn't have joined. It's too bad that didn't rub off on him.

  So yeah, I feel kinda bad. I indirectly ruined somebody's life.

  World Wide Construction comes to a Shuddering Halt - Jehovah's Blessing has Evidently been Suspended!

  the chelmsford project in the uk has already come to a halt and every one has been sent home.

  the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.

  my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

  I go away for a while, and come back to the Watchtower in shambles. Awesome!

  How much more can they cut back? Let's see...

  Getting brothers with computer access and printers to make physical copies for the elderly who are stuck in the dark ages is a good idea. What an opportunity to get to know our elderly congregation members better! Jehovah works in magnificent ways!

  Turn meetings into video-watching sessions. Well, that could happen in people's homes! Jehovah's organization embraces only the best in technology!

  Cutting down the number of conventions and assemblies until there's no more to cut is a good way to get rid of those expensive Conventions and Assembly complexes, although they'd probably be the last buildings to go.

  When the organization ordered the congregations to send them a set amount each month, I firmly believed that the organization had severed themselves from the Kingdom Halls. The Org can strike a Kingdom Hall dead if it so desires. If donations aren't up to par or are WAY down, they can just kill off the Kingdom hall and/or congregation. To hell with the members if they aren't donating. The members can have the option of meeting in homes to watch JW TV.

  My only question is, what is the end goal (if any)? Keeping the Governing Body fed and housed? Control is only good if you get a reward from it.
