I have just left my parents home and the JW's about six months ago and have found it hard to get over.
by StephanieH ini finally desided to leave the witnesses therefore my family and basicly everyone and everything i had ever known.
i was 19 about to be 20 and i had just finished my first semester at a community college.
i was shocked at the respons of my father and others about me attending college at first they were ok but behind my back they were pretty much betting on my failier.

My current job. I was a serious airplane nerd as a kid.
Now I work in aviation. Everyday is fun, different and most of all a challenge.

Who drove the Christendom Car in Field Service?
by prophecor inthey were affectionately called christendom cars.
you know, the 2 door coupes that the friends had to struggle to get in and out of the back seat, out in service.
was it you, or did you do the spiritually respnosible thing and drive the 4 door sedan?.

I have a friend who bought a brand spanking new silver 2001 corvette convertible in ther summer of 2001. We were both in our early to mid 20's.
Man they busted his ass up and down about that.
He still has it. Probably never leaves his garage more than 5 times a year.
One friend of mine. When we were seniors in High School, his dad an elder then and still one, had bought a brand new Nissan Quest in 96. Well...one day in service we were talking about the Dukes of Hazzard and decided to see if we could get the van to catch some 'air' over some railroad tracks.
Well we drove down the street, turned around and gunned it.
Man we caught some SERIOUS air and busted up the front end REAL good. If looks could kill, when his dad stepped out the car, we should have been dead right there.
My friend is no longer in, so we get a good laugh about that still.

Today's WT lesson: Desperate for more MS. How many get appointed 1 yr after baptism?
by Open mind intoday's wt lesson: serving jehovah with all seriousness, excerpt from paragraph 11:.
"if a brother has been baptized at least one year and to a reasonable degree meets the scriptural qualifications for ministerial servants outlined at 1 timothy 3:8-13, he can be recommended for appointment.".
how often have you seen someone become a ministerial servant one year after baptism?

Association: Am i being lied to?
by roxanesophia ini don't hesitate to bring up with the girl i study with, my criticisms of the religion, and one of those is the association.
i keep reading on here that jw's don't make friends outside the cult, and this is what i used as an excuse for stepping further away from being baptized.
she tells me it's not true, and they can have what ever friends they want.

Hang out with your non-witness friends, and do what you or your friends may normally do. Then tell your study and others at the hall about .
Their true feelings about it will show in time. Especially if you get baptized.
As Paralipomenon says, they'll beat you to death with 1Corithians 15:33 and bad associations.
That or they'll try to convert your friends as well.

JW's would make the bubble boy shamed.
Such insulated and isolated people.
FB posts remind of the constant NEED of some JW's when around other witnesses to show others how spriritual they are.
