This happened in my old congregation - a dub cheated on his wife with a co-worker (repeatedly) and denied it. His wife divorced him and years later remarried - another dub. They were both kicked out but worked to get reinstated. The ex-husband was DF'd himself and living with the co-worker - but as he was "innocent" at the time as there was no proof he was cheating it was the wife who was committing adultery!
Gotta love that JW logic!

Question on DF'ing
by Agent Smith in.
ok...if 2 dubs divorce just because they hate each other, they are not free to remarry.. if one of them does remarry, he or she will be df'ed.
lets say that this person gets married with another dub....what happens to that person?

What is your Favorite Scene from a Movie?
by Sweetp0985 ini thought about this topic last night for the board when watching one of my favorite movies.. 1. the man from snowy river- the part when they are going after the expensive colt and they get to the edge of the cliff and all the other riders stop and "jim" keeps going and leaps down the cliff after the wild horses.
i absolutely love that part of the movie...everytime its on i have to watch it, if not just to see this part only.. 2. love and basketball- when she tells him she will play for his heart...awwww first time i started crying.
and then the music they had playing in the background made it even worse.

MEMENTO:
When Natalie comes back into her house and you know *why* Leonard was looking for a pen.
(Hell, all of the scenes in it - it's my favourite film of all time)
RING:
*That* scene. *Shudder*
THE WICKER MAN:
The ending - I always expect to see a police helicopter come into frame at the last moment. Excellent stuff.
THE PRINCESS BRIDE:
The "To the pain" confrontation, and the hilarious way Humperdinck collects his cape together has he goes off to sit in the chair. -

If you had to change one thing you did while being a JW, what would it be?
by MelbaToast in.
i have seen so many stories here that invoke guilt and shame on innocents, what one important momyumental thing would you have changed if you had it to do over?.
mine would be not getting baptized.

I was about eight my mum had been *really* upset by some of the holier-than-thou *idiots* at our bookstudy. When we got home she said to us "I want to leave."
Being abrainwashed and terrifiedfaithful JW kid I burst into tears and begged her to change her mind so we wouldn't die at Armageddon - I think that was part of the reason she didn't leave - us putting guilt on her like that.
If I could have had that day again I would've a) had a hissyfit at the idiots at the bookstudy instead of just standing there crying, b) told her I refused to ever go back too. -

Do JWs Marry At Too Young of an Age???
by minimus inmost of the witnesses that marry are in their early 20's that i know of.
they have zippo experience in anything except how to hide pimples.
from what you have seen, are most witnesses encouraged to get married---just so that they don't sin?

My mum's best friend (not a JW, they've been best friends since 12), has a 19 year old daughter. Soon she is moving in with her boyfriend (also 19 and a really lovely kid). My mum is very happy for her (not looking down on her at all) and we all think it's sweet how she's "playing house".
The other week I found out a girl from my old congregation will be marrying 2 months before her 18th birthday. I asked the elder who told me if the fiance was also 17 - no; he doesn't know how old, but he's "quite a bit older".
I just think *marrying* at 17 is creepy, wouldn't have been so bad if they were just living together like the 19 year old (yes there's a difference between 17 and 19, but not *that* much).
She can't just turn round and go back home as easily if it doesn't work out.
This poor kid was baptised at 9 or 10 years old and homeschooled from about 8.
Her parents got married very young and had her at about 20 or 21. -

How has the internet changed your life?
by ballistic inhow has the internet changed your life?.
ok, i guess if you left the org because of the internet, that is quite a big change.. but what about all the other changes, as to shopping, banking and so on.. what about the fact, you now have not just a photo album, but copies of all your friends photographs as well.. not to mention web cams, which i'm thinking of setting up.. isn't it a revolution in it's own right?, or would you describe it as just a part of the information revolution.
or the pinacle of the information revoltuion?

Making wonderful friends from around the world and being able to talk to them in real-time.
Being able to buy things from the UK or abroad cheaper and easier than in shops.
Finding out any information I'd ever need in moments. -

What type monitor do yo have?

LCD 19" very soon
Oooh!!! I've got a 15" LCD panel on this computer and a 17" CRT on another. I had to get 15" because the place I wanted to keep it meant it had to be small - also why I opted for a shuttle case for this PC. A 16:9 monitor would be brilliant.
