The resolution to "The X-Files" was sooooo stupid. All through the finale they built it up as this huge thing that Mulder would rather die than tell even *Scully* about. And what did it turn out to be? "Oh the world is going to end in 2012." So nine years of twists and turns and seven years of quality storytelling was basically for nothing, Mulder needn't have even bothered joining the FBI. Personally I think the season 7 finale should have been the end, the consortium were dead, Mulder knew what happened to Samantha... I think Mulder's abduction should have been the perfect ending.
The final scene of the series taking it all back full circle was perfect though. What *could* have been the final scene (incredibly bad George W Bush impersonator saying "The truth is out there now") would have been awful.
I just hope "Lost" doesn't paint itself into a similar corner. I hope they've got a storyline planned for a set number of seasons and stick to it, rather than trying to drag it out.
Anybody seen DEAD LIKE ME?
I loved "Dead Like Me", such a huge shame it was cancelled.

About 10 days ago I put flea collars on all of my cats
I read that and my heart just sank. I can't believe those things are still on sale or that more people aren't aware that they are poisonous.
I'm so sorry. :( Give the company hell.
Frontline is brilliant stuff. -

Are you 100% sure?
The same condition affects girls too.
I stopped that then because I was told it would grow back thicker than how it was....and it did....so silly of me.
No it didn't. As the hair was short and stubbly it *felt* rougher.
This site explains it: http://www.snopes.com/oldwives/hairgrow.asp -

If you're going to copy and paste at least give references, stop passing off other people's nonsense as your own feeble thinking!
Oh and Hell can't be bottomless if it's underneath the surface of the Earth... otherwise it would poke out of Australia. Or maybe that's why Aussies get such hot weather! LOL. -

This is NOT true; it is a superstition... oooh.
Get thee hence forth. No weapon formed against me will prosper in Jesus' name.
The blood of Jesus prevails.
Oh, Ok....
How come they've never accidentally drilled into Hell when mining then? -

Another reason people say "God bless you" when somebody sneezes is that in the Olden Days (ie the Black Death) a sneeze might be the first symptom of something fatal, so you'd better say a quick prayer for them just in case.
Therefore me and my friends say "Go to Hell!" when someone sneezes! Haha! -

Who Wrote the New Testament? by Burton Mack
by ithinkisee insomeone mentioned this book in another thread (getbusyliving i think), so i checked it out from the library.. it is a decent enough book but was a little put off by the almost sarcastic/antagonistic tone throughout much of the book.
he throws around the word "myth" as much as the society throws around the word "truth".
even the title of the book "who wrote the new testament?

There was a fantastic documentary about the Apostle Paul and what Christianity would have been if he hadn't taken over. It was on Channel 4 in the UK about four years ago, and has perhaps made it over the pond too.

I remember things about the day I was Christened (the party afterwards, not the actual service), at five months. But my main clear first memory is being a little over a year old and toddling into next door's garden, crouching down by their cat, and getting scratched! My first memory of TV that I can put an exact date to is the raising of the Mary Rose in Autumn 1982 when I was 15 months old. I can't remember where I left the remote *now* though... :D
