Minnie (sicky cat) *is* extremely traumatised. We got her because the week before Christmas 2001 she was crying on our windowsill for a week - we didn't let her in right away in case she belonged to someone. she was scared then and is only slightly better now. God knows what her previous owners did to her or what happened as a stray.
She's afraid of everything. She's *very* attached to me but will sometimes cry out in fear if I touch her. She sleeps *in* my bed and literally *clings* to my arm all night. The only problem with this is that despite having a litter box she sometimes gets out from under the covers, walks to the bottom of the bed *does a wee* then gets back in bed again. And I don't realise until my feet get wet!

Icky but connected to food-fan cats:
Does anyone have a problem with "bullimic" ex-stray cats? Two of ours are ex-stray, they don't eat "odd" foods anywhere near as much as the two we've had from kittens. They both throw up quite a lot - Minnie in particular will sometimes eat *all* the dry biscuits left out (left out for all of them to share) - it's like she's remembering about being a stray and hungry and eats all she can.
Minnie (*strange* poor pathetic shaky victim type cat - bullied by the others) threw up in mum's ironing yesterday... mum wasn't pleased!
Neither of them are ill with it, the vet didn't really say anything when we mentioned it. -

Three of ours are quite vocal - the fourth (the "baby" though she's 4 - she's tiny and she's the curry-lover) doesn't even miaow, she just goes "peep!", so we call her Peeps as well as her actual name (Mabel). :)
Dave (weighs about 15lbs...) stomps around the house "shouting" - and throws himself at the fridge to ask for things! -

Satsumas are little oranges. They'll eat a little bit if I take the skin off the segments.

Yes, our cats will eat anything (greedy little buggers). The like some fruit - strawberries, apple, satsumas. They like salad and veggies - peas, green beas, baked beans, potato.
They also like bread, chips (french fries), crisps (chips), *curry*, they go *mad* for cheese. I'm not sure about giving them grapes or raisins (as their poisonous to dogs so I'm wary).
They will just take food off plates if we don't watch them. -

My mum doesn't pester me - she thinks I pester *her*, and it's getting to be a problem. She believes the scandals about the WTs. It's the JWs I'm worried of finding out the truth because of what it'd do to *her*. :(
It's an odd situation - mum hasn't been to a meeting in like *7 years* - other than bumping into JWs in the street she's only in regular contact with *one* JW (an elder who brings the magazines). She's also been planning what to do on my birthday next week - it's infuriating because she's *nearly* out!
It'll be interesting to find out what they say about the mediator thing - if they *are* looking into their answer (if they aren't there are books on our JW-books bookcase I can show them) I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they find out.
