help a girl out.. what are some of the slang terms you use so i can put them into my every day conversation (and confuse people) for some fun!.
my brother uses the word "jit" (git?
Oh and git has a hard-g like "green", not a soft-g like "gerbil".
You would only say it to a man - I'd only say "git" to a older man - and "get" to a male teen or a young man.
In the Harry Potter books Ron says "git" a fair few times, referring to Snape which is fine, and Draco which is jarring as it's not something teenage boys call each other. Of course what teenage boys *do* call each other may not be suitable for children's literature.

Git means bastard - means the same as "get" = "beget" etc.
Fag means cigarette... have fun with that one!

Hehe we will help you with your British slang grammar! To be convincing, don't mix regions - like, don't say "I'm going up the apples and pears to put the bairns to bed" cos that would sound really stupid!

Nos - a brilliant free image host is Photo Island - no problems hotlinking like with free web hosts, the service is free and you just click the "Link for auction" link at the bottom-left and copy the image URL.

The hardbound publications all look dated, there's some apalling colour combinations - and they tend to get crushed/damaged at the top and bottom of the spine from being in the bookbag. Or from me chewing on them absentmindedly.

all my life as a jw in the us, my parents shuttled us off to the fireworks, to sit among the worldlings and the waving flags to enjoy the show.
this was an almost universal practice with elders and pioneers as well.
as a child, i always noted that what we (jws) were doing was no different than how anyone else celebrated the 4th.
*Wow* I'd have thought Independence Day would've been verboten - it's a nationalistic holiday no two ways about it! We weren't allowed to celebrate Guy Fawke's Night as it's a nationalistic holiday.
I find it fascinating how some conregations had such different rules.

changed my mind a bit on the design, still a butterfly though.. it hurt like hell getting it done but was worth all the pain.

Wow you've all got really gorgeous tattoos! Lehaa - I love the variation of colours in the butterfly.
One of my friends has a tattoo (well several) and she's put on weight and the lines have gone fuzzy, though the colours are still lovely. I'd love a tattoo but I'd be afraid of that happening!
I'd probably go for my lower back or the front of my hip. but I have no idea what I'd get!
