  I need some input...

  hi everyone, something has been on my mind lately and i would really appreciate some comments.

  i've posted a few topic discussions on my story as a dub, recent dicoveries of wt tampering with the bible translations they use and the subsequent emotions that came from learning that so many things i was taught growing up are lies, and about visiting various churches (chuck swindoll etc).

  Hello Lin, Gold morning has some wonderful advice that I personally say from my heart can't be beat. Re read what she said and really seek Jesus out for what he has for you in your life. He's really REAL, and LOVING like she said he is. He want's you you to know him. You can do that by praying to Him for spiritual guideance. He's always there to talk to, and waiting.

  Gold morning I read your profile and want to tell you that what you said you did it in a most gracious way. I'm sure Jesus is so proud of you as I am. I have never met you, but I feel one day I will. You have been doing some studying and it shows, keep up the good work.

  A complex question who of you knows the answer?

  if baptism washes away your sins, as taught by jws, what prevents a disfellowshiped person who has moved to a new area and is not known in that area in attending meetings as an interested person and getting baptised within 6 months.. has anyone ever done that?

  if so can the person be disfellowshipped a second time?

  what would be his status.

  You all ever read the Lord's prayer where it says in Matt.6:9-13

  9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

  10. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

  11.Give us this day our daily bread.

  12.And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

  13. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

  the next two verses are good to

  14.For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

  15. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

  As Christians we still sin everyday, sometimes not even knowing it, but most times through bouts of anger, and flare up of of tempers and many other reasons. We are not perfect yet. We still have this corruptable body and it will always be that way until Jesus comes back after his church that's when we put on incorruptable bodies I Corinthians 15: 35-58. Take care all.

  Thanks everyone I was just wondering, there is a JW elder that goes by my house everyday and he drives a brand new high priced toyota something. It looks like it cost 30k. You all take care now ya here.

  Bible Prophecies?

  no, i'm not getting any doubts that the bible is any more than what i believe it is... a myth.

  however, i do have a particular question about one aspect that my jw uncle raised during one of our conversations: what about those so-called "prophecies"?

  no, i'm not talking about the vague nostradamus-like "statue made of different kinds of crap".

  i don't think so.sorry if you are one i have nothing against you personnally, nor jw's come to think of it, but offering your version of truth to jw's is for them to jump out of the frying pan into the fire.. the bible is the root of jw problems , and following that book in which ever way you wish will always be in error..

  Hey guys and gals. I'm a Christian that has been saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Now to some that sentence is unaceptable, but to me it means that God loved us enough to send his Son to die for our sins, that all we have to do is believe that Jesus is the son of God and was crucified, and raised the third day. It's hard for people to accept the facts about the whole Bible. God does not send us to hell, people send themselves there by the worse sin of all, the sin of unbelief. Now if there is no hell, what does Luke mean in Chapter 16 verse19-31. Do we tear this out of the Bible or do we read it for what it says. I'm afraid to tear it out of mine. If God said it, I believe it, and that settles it for me. Now I may not be liked by saying this, but Jesus wasn't liked either for it.

  for some time now, we have discussed and expressed our outrage and horror at child molestation.

  Dakota Red, I know it took courage for you to tell this awful story of abuse. My prayers are with you, and your family. My mother tried this with my brother when he was little and I didn't find this out until 2 years ago he is now 49. I understand your stance on child molestation and I agree with you 200%. You have to have been there to understand, as you have, to know what goes on in a little boys mind after someone so special as a mother who brought you into this world,only to abuse you. My brother to this day still loved his mother and she treated us like crap up until the day she died. May God Bless you and all yours, and if you ever need to talk my email is open.

  we heard new light this evening.

  a local needs talk was given about how anyone that knows someone might be dating a non- witness and doesn't report it to the elders is actually hindering the free flow of jehovah's holy spirit.

  yes, if the "sin" goes unreported, the whole congregation will be affected, just as in the case of achan and his family!
