Brilliant!
Now, enter their spin doctors: it was a mistake.... they didn't know... they wouldn't have if they knew. And then, the UN scandal withdrawal thing? No. They can't forgo the millions, even if it's from cigarrettes. Rotten Hypocrites.

from an article in the israeli paper ha'aretz:.
abbas said that at aqaba, bush promised to speak.
with sharon about the siege on arafat.
Of course, how else could Bush 've matched those guys; they believe in such stuff; it should give Abu Mazen added ammunition when he faces the Hama bad guys; they'll be pissing in their pants when they think the two times God has spoken to this guy, something bad has happened to the guys on the other side. The thought of an American president having a chat with God is frightening enough. These Bushies, there's nothing they can't invent.
what would happen if no one wanted to be an elder?
who would teach the congregation?
who would manage everything in the congregation?
There are good samples of guys who never did want any 'responsibilities': I know someone who did refuse to be appointed; he had an average of 30 hrs/month. Got responsibilities after being in for 8 months; gave wonderful talks (his first talk as an Unbaptized Publisher was simply too good...), did several other things, but refused to be appointed an MS; twice. And no, he knew no apostates then. I should ask him why now.
even in my hardcore active jw time i had no use for the jw calendar.
i ordered it each year and put it into a drawer.
most months were really ugly illustrated and it was completly useless without the holidays.
Never.
in fact, it is very, very soon.
my jw honey came back from the meeting with this earth-shattering announcement.
he is prancing around the house with this new-found knowledge that i have not had the priveledge to hear, understand, or appreciate.. got any good comeback lines?

The End, Right Soon Now, Just at the Corner.
Something must be up at the Tower. They use this tactic as a distraction.
hello my friends and fellow survivors.. i am writing to tell you how much i have enjoyed being part of your lives.. just knowing that i may have been able to help you during your journey through life has .
added a warm feeling to my life.
i have always tried to remember that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Have the comfort that many would remember you for good. Enjoy your journey on that other side.
Goodbye friend.
which is worse?
a convicted murderer getting executed or a convicted murderer being released after serving the minimum of a life sentence, 15 years?.
btw, before anyone even mentions the low recidivism rate of murderers, you must realize that that is only for those that have been caught.
It's surprising that you have sidestepped direct questions asked you, Abaddon. It seems to me you quietly admit that conceeding that the death penalty may be applicable in cases of crimes that are considered extaordinary (like some of the cases presented in this thread) will weaken your case. Perhaps you should draw a line between the death penalty being applicable for certain crimes (and/or strings of crimes commited by the same person), and the the way the State enforces that. And perhaps, that line os thin some.
i can't believe no one has commented on this yet.
illinois governor george ryan cleared out death row.

Abaddon,
have a question: do you think the death penalty could be applicable in any # of cases at all?
i just got my copies in the mail, my first orders from amazon.com; crisis of conscience (coc) 4th edition; in search of christian freedom (isocf), 2002 edition (3rd printing).

there's an immediate decision to make though: some jws still visit me; some elders still come over; do i display the book on the bookshelf (like all other books) or keep them someplace out of view?

I think it'll be interesting what I do. For those who are/were still technically in while they read these books, did you hide your copy?
may you all have peace... .
.... and the answer can be found at genesis 6:1-4. cain was afraid of being killed... and the only killers... or "fellers"... of men... at that time... were the nephilim... "avengers of blood"... who were in the earth at that time.
these, by reason of being spirit beings were "like god, knowing good (life) and bad (death), for vengeance was their vocation.. these... were posted outside eden... stationed in the land of fugitiveness... or "nod.
AGuest, you been smoking stuff lately?
