Wow. I am actually hit by this a bit. I don't pay attention to experiences anymore though. I have come to know personally that they are BS. Honestly, I don't think there is a much better word to describe a convention than a "circlejerk". Sexually explicit? Yes. But accurate. It's disgusting.

The BRAIN is awakening! Don't ignore it!
by Tech49 insomething happened recently, and i thought i would share a few comments.
first, lets set the stage..... if anyone is familiar with current events in the pacific northwest, you may have heard of the death of a beautiful young lady, whitney heichel, a short while ago.
in short, whitney was a young sister that was kidnapped and killed by a "congregation" friend.

What Is The Most Absurd JW Belief or View?
by minimus inthere are many silly doctines and viewpoints.. one of the strangest ones is the blood doctrine.. why anyone could logically accept this belief is beyond reason..

Rocky Girl, that has been annoying me for a while as well. That SAME exact concept. One person to celebrate? Too egotistical. Two people? They can handle the lovebombing, we can divide it amongst themselves.

Dualism in new WT theology?
by Thoughtless ini am not the most "deep" wt student, and i am trying to beef up on wt theology so i can reassess my belief system and prove to myself that what i am planning to do is the right thing.
but what i lack in wt theology knowledge, i make up in some philosophical knowledge.
wt theology teaches a purely physicalist standpoint, in which our soul is limited to our bodies, no spirit.

DATADOG, I have my moments. But yeah, I mean, the fact that I couldn't question the GB really got me questioning the GB...ironically. Teenage rebellion? Maybe. I don't feel really invited to said circlejerks, I could never keep...rhythm. (SORRY FOR THE SMUT SIMON)

Oubilette, I didn't get the PM. Vidqun, given the environment that the first Century Christians were in, I think dualism is almost impossible to comeby in religions. It is an archetypical teaching, really.

Ah. Noted. I don't believe that if it is unconventional, it is necessarily wrong, but it is because it is illogical, or contradictory is what made me raise a red flag. Thanks for the insight, Satanus!

A Great Party Last Night.
by Thoughtless inlast night i went to a party with a (worldly) gal yesterday, twas great, but i feel like we are losing intimacy.
i haven't told her about my religion because i am afraid she may judge me or something.
i have a very complicated past and such, and the borg complicates it further.

True. I guess, although I don't know what that really mean? But I don't know, the idea that, "Thoughtless is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses", freaks me the hell out. I just rather go off grid and have a great time.

Oubliette, danke for the compliment, you and DATA DOG are one of my favorites on JWN. Godtier posters. Yeah, DATA DOG, I swear I am "this" close to be labeled as the rebellious one. VERY, VERY CLOSE. Going to college and plus I don't get home until later at night which makes me prone for "unwholesome association" although honestly I am at the library or at the mall at my lonesome. Along with this, I haven't been at a congregation gathering in a WHILE, but it is because I am not interested in cheesy acts at talent shows or just bland, watercooler conversation. I am attracted to intimate conversation, intellectually challenging really, especially when it comes to the arts and such and MUSIC. I love MUSIC, as well as thematic elements of it, not only the sound per se. BUT, no JW would want to talk about such "worldly" topics. Instead, they would rather have a circlejerk about the GB and how there are no Bibles and who is the next Bethelite. It gets really annoying after a while. It is so much safer keeping up this schizoid facade, because once you get to know me, I am quite talkative. ~Thoughtless

I mean, I guess with Jehovah all things are possible, but this is a serious doctrinal flaw. I know if I was to open my mouth, I would be seen as CRAZY. Huehue.
