Yes, still am. I don't tell anyone but the closest of friends, and I only talk against my religion with the people I am tightest with. I don't need people talking to each other about my religion and it getting back to me in the Hall. I keep the circle of friends as tight as possible so that no one can get around and talk and stuff. I hope that the embarrassment can fade when I get older and when I have the strength to leave, but until then, it is whatever.

A story about Reggie and Reginald... and why it makes me cringe... more vomiting
by confusedandalone inso i grew up in new jersey in a very urban part of the state.
i literally only saw white folks if they were in a police car or if i went to the assembly.
the funny thing is at the assembly there was still a level of segregation as well although it was self-imposed.

Disciplinary Actions
by Cold Steel induring a disciplinary procedure, what would the response be if you wanted representation?
an advocate?.
why don't they have a group of unbiased men, a prosecutor to present the case against you and an advocate that would represent the accused?

Gopher, I am the same way. I do not show too much emotion in the face of trials like that. I try to stay dignified.

Dude, I can hear about this shit all day and it will never fail to interest me. The fact that there is so much power in being an Elder is the reason why I don't even want to take the lead in my congregation. I never really did.

Despite what I feel about the doctrine of the religion, I still hold JW's to a high moral esteem. I am actually kind of floored that such overt racism existed in a Hall, honestly. Covert? Not so much. Overt? Yes.

I went to Community College and finished it up in a year with honors and no debt. I have no regrets that I plan to transfer to another university to finish it up and continue with the rest of my education, hopefully with limited debt.

Uhoh: Human hand bone dating back 1.4 mill years closes evo gap
by DS211 indiscovery of 1.4 million-year-old fossil human hand bone closes human evolution gapdec.
16, 2013 humans have a distinctive hand anatomy that allows them to make and use tools.
apes and other nonhuman primates do not have these distinctive anatomical features in their hands, and the point in time at which these features first appeared in human evolution is unknown.

>inb4falsified.
I don't buy articles like this off hand. So many articles claim that the evolution gap has been closed and then it is revealed to be a fake or a lie. Its reminiscent of how many Witnesses look for signs of the Big A but it never comes.

10 Years out of the JW Organization- What I've Learned ( For what it's Worth)
by flipper in10 years ago i stopped attending jehovah's witness meetings for good.
walked out of the kingdom hall cold turkey never to return based on injustices i observed among others and myself at the hands of elders giving out not god's counsel but personal opinions as counsel .
some of them weren't even giving out wt society counsel- just personal opinions.
