So, why didn't Jesus write anything down?
by poppers interry's thread on who is right - jesus or paul, got me to wondering; why didn't jesus write anything down?
surely he would know that the things he said would be written down at some point, and that this would be the beginning of misunderstanding what he was saying.
secondhand accounts of spoken words have a way of changing dramatically from the original words.

Don't you realize how much time it takes to turn water into wine and keep the buffet stocked when the bread and fishes run low ? Being a good host is not an easy job. Guests drink themselves blind or get dead drunk all need to be cured or brought back to life you know, I mean how much can you expect from just one Messiah ?

Talk about costs - our son was born 10 week preemie - wife spent 16 weeks prior to the birth in hospital to prevent the birth....and then after early delivery our son spent 6 weeks in the neonatal ICU
Total cost -- over $1 Million Bucks ! Thank God or maybe Blue Cross for insurance !
When Alex was 6 he watched his sisters birth...you can hear him on the video tape right after the delivery saying..."Wow...just like poop through a goose !" LOL

I maintain a few site with secure logins and I know what info that I receive when someone tries to login incorrectly....and I'm a jerk with very little actual life at 12:41 am LOL
So I sent them a little message and attempted the following logins....
account# :666 User: apostate password: unitednations (no luck - damn)
account#: 6969 User: rutherford password: apostate (No luck again !)
account# 1914 User: teddyj password: iamgod (Nope)
Account#: 1975 User: legal password: pedo (damn - thought sure that would work LOL)
I'll keep trying...LOL would love to be there when they read their login report !
One thing I learned though....the username is only 10 characters long....

WT Secret Document admits that only Elders and MS's are Ordained
by Elsewhere inthe watchtower society likes to tell its members that all jws are ordained ministers, but in reality only elders and ministerial servants can obtain a certificate of ordained minister from the watchtower society.
even then one must specifically state the reason the certificate is needed.
bottom line, the watchtower society makes it very difficult for any jw to receive such a certificate.. branch organization manual.

How many raised as a JW have a hard time remembering holidays?
by still angry ini'm asking this because i found myself in an bad spot monday night.
my daughter is almost three and goes to a little preschool thing each day.
they were to have a valentine's day party on tuesday, for which i was to bring fruit, etc.

I tend to remember everything except birthdays....my son asked me how old his nanny and poppa (my parents) were and I have no idea....and even though it was a stupid thing it really bothered me that I wouldn't know something like that. LOL

Perhaps you should ask a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses....I am no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses so I'm afraid I can't help you.
Oh and maybe if you were a little more civil, after all they simply made a joke, not the greatest maybe but they did try and they then welcomed you to the board....and you were...well...you know what you were I don't need to tell you.

What will be the next big 'new light'?

wts 'new light' seems to be somewhat cyclical, around every ten years or so.
it's been just over 10 years since the 1995 'this generation' change.

since leaving the jws do you know the words to the national anthem?.
thanks to the school system and a pretty good memory especailly for lyrics i knew the words in two languages before i ever left the witnesses, something that i'm quite proud of today.

I know the US Version and have even gotten to sing it a few times to open Baseball games, Hockey Games as well as 4th of July events and several 9/11 Memorial events.Now I get to teach it to my son's cub scout troop as their new Den Leader.
