i don't mean to be trite or argumentative, but i keep hearing all the time about having a "personal relationship with jesus" as the solution to leaving the witlesses.
for the life of me, i really don't know what this term means.
i can only compare it to its literal counterpart, i.e.
How does one do that with an historical figure that is only sparsely referred to in an ancient book written by a variety of individuals, some of which never even met Him. (Paul of course comes to mind)
Faith, belief, emotion.....for those who "believe" it isn't such a stretch. For those without that belief/faith, I could never explain it.
I would also not try to press my beliefs on them or belittle them simply because I did not understand or agree..

that was the hardest thing i have ever been thru in my life yet.. i was disfellowshipped for falling in love with and having relations with another female.
tried to fight it for a long time... but shit happens.
I'm on the shunning plan too....tearful goodbyes.....parents said "if we listen to your research (anti jw) and leave now.....we'll lose everything". I guess its okay to lose their only child and now their daughter in-law and 2 grandchildren too.
I was shunned for 4 or 5 years, then "new light" and it was okay until 2001 when the "old light" came back and I was shunned again. First time....I felt bad.....second time just pissed me off.

i'm planning on going to the "walk against warming" tomorrow.
this event is to try to make the australian government pay more attention to the public's concern with global warming.
i am really angry we haven't ratified the kyoto protocol.
I thought about doing the walk...but I'd have to get out of my leather recliner and its so darn hot outside...the house is nice and crispy with the AC on high....maybe I could drive it in my SUV...it doesn't use too much more gas with the AC running....
