  what makes life different for humans than say dogs, or cows or whatever?.

  isn't it just the brain that makes life discernible.

  you can still be alive and not know it if your brain is damaged.

  Life is the opposite to death

  Seriously, when I look at the wildlife in my garden, which I appreciate and which makes me feel so close to the spirit (God?), I feel that it has as much right to live as I. Life is a journey, in my opinion. Being a JW was a roadblock which got in the way. Now, my journey continues.....but to where?

  You say you accept God's gift of salvation, but do you believe that those who don't accept this gift go to Hell?

  You see, when we create gods in our own image, they act and behave like us -- and not the best of us. They are conditional, exclusionary, revengeful, and have their little clique of special ones. They make an exceptionally efficient tool of enslavement in the expert hands of Religion.

  Generally, your average kind person, is far more Christ-like, than the god most people worship.

  I've experienced being Born Again because I have accepted God's give of salvation.

  Ok, I'm happy for you! But what about Hellfire? You say you accept God's gift of salvation, but do you believe that those who don't accept this gift go to Hell?

  I'd be interested to know if you really believe that a pagan can make a connection to God.

  Well, my dictionary defines pagan thus: a person holding religious beliefs other than those of the main world religions.

  As far as I can see none of the major religions can make a connection to God, so perhaps yours is the way!

  What Do The English & Australians Think Of Americans On This Board???

  it seems to me that this board's force comes mainly from our english and aussie friends.

  i've read comments that some have gotten annoyed that the society and gb seem to only stress the "american" english in their style of writing.

  i'm just curious as to what you think of your american brethren.

  Andi,

  I know you are an all right person. No problem!! Please help me with this, though. I get the impression that you are a Born Again Christian, but that your BA beliefs don't always fit with other BACs beliefs. Am I right?

  If so, what kind of a BA are you? I know you say you follow Christ, but how can a BA pick and choose what parts of Born Again Christianity they want? I'm perplexed over this. I earlier posted from a BA site. It clearly states that one who is not a BA. i.e. who doesn't accept Christ as saviour, goes to Hell! That's a BA teaching! Therefore, if you don't believe in such and such and other BAs do then it seems to me that you are not a BA and will go to Hell or you're a BA from a separate Church, in which case you'll still go to Hell because you aren't following the "party" line!

  Is it any wonder many of us have had it with Christianity!
