I get my groceries & see old couples holding hands.( in their 80's) I wish I still had my hubby...
He must have been a special man.

if you mate died suddenly or left you, could you handle life alone?
would you remain single or get married again?
i ask this because my brother in law's witness mom just died recently, and we're wondering how his dad is going to handle life alone now.

I'm always somewhat amazed when a widow says her husband died twenty or so years ago! Usually it's a widow in her dotage, but I feel saddened that their husband should have been dead for so long and they have reached old age without him.
Could I handle life alone? Well, in my present condition definitely not.
I've given this a lot of thought and I can't envisage life without my spouse. I guess it all depends on how happy one is in one's relationship. I wouldn't like to carry on without her.

so in the last year two major qfr came out, one on the fds not being any more special than the gc in terms of enlightenment and the second being that 1935 is no longer a "thing".
this was followed up with a change of the generation being the fds.
then numbers go up this year and apparently, alot of the new converts in the fertile lands of mexico are claiming to be of the anointed.
Sorry Jeffery,
That's what happens when your formatting goes wrong and a blank page appears!

as witlesses, you always hear about christmas in a negative light.
all the running around to get gifts that will be returned the day after, the bills that come in january, the drinking and driving, and all the energy "wasted" on christmas lights and the headaches they get listening to christmas carols all day.. there is a good side of christmas, independent of the religious aspect of it.
i remember when i was little, i most looked forward to the gifts.
the good thing about Christmas now is that I get to watch my daughter open presents on Christmas and see her be happy.
Unbeatable!!

Christmas is what we make it! It is a time, I have noticed, when people are friendlier and kinder. It is a time for families and friends to get together and talk about old times and expectations of new ones. It is a time for children to beam in expectation of what is inside the wrapping paper. And there's the Christmas tree, decorations and good food. I won't let anyone spoil that!
