by sipho ini have just come across this website and was amazed to read to many similar experiences to what i went through with the 'loving' congregations of jehovah's witnesses.
i have now been gone 4 years but after reading some experiences i realise that the pain they caused still remains.
i am now quite angry at the way they control your life and brainwash you - i am so glad i finally saw what was happening and got out.

disaster for migrating birds. If combat begins during March or April, as expected, the situation will be especially grave, because
during these spring migration months, millions of birds cross Iraq en route to their northern breeding grounds. The Tigris and the
Euphrates, Iraq's key rivers, are important stops on the long-distance migration routes for birds that winter in Africa, then
head north to breed in Europe and western Russia in the summer. Such birds include pelicans, storks, and many species of shorebirds.
"From a biodiversity point of view, this is the worst possible time of the year to have a war" in Iraq, because birds "could abort their
migration or even starve to death," said Phil Hockey, a migration specialist with the Percy FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology.

How well do you REALLY know the Organisation?
by gumby inmany times a new one will post a question to what the witnesess teach on a matter or will simply make a statement.
many times you have to wonder where they get their ideas from as regards to what the society teaches on a matter.
many times they are simply wrong, or have the understanding twisted.

I don't think the average modern day dub is as sharp as to all the teachings accociated with the Organisation as the earlier generations.
Herein lies the whole crux of the matter and why the Borg is still dangerous. Why? Because the GB will continue to shift its teachings with "new light" and the newer rank and file will go along with it. Don't EVER believe the WTS is dead - that's a dangerous assumption - it is merely gearing up to mind-control its latest victims. NEVER be complacent. As has been mentioned many times, the average JW today knows absolutely nothing of the WTS' history. This innocence on the part of the newbie JW is taken advantage of with the likes of "Beware of the apostates", "Continue in the way in which you are going and you'll soon be an elder", "The last days of this wicked system are fast approaching (this one never changes)".
Believe me, if we continue to sit back on our proverbial bottoms and do absolutely nothing then, in 20 years from now, many of us still won't be united with our familes, this forum may or may not be in existence (don't hold your breath) and the WTS will continue to amass millions of $.

I can't say whether there is a God or not. The problem I have is that man is supposedly made in his image, i.e. we have his qualities.
Right, if I see people suffering I want to step in and end it; to relieve them of it. Why, then, doesn't God stop all these cruel injustices now? If we are made in his image, He has the same sympathy as I - so why doesn't he step in?
Just my thoughts......
