can somebody please help me with my problem?
i have this boyfriend, who is on probation for drugs and kicking the crap out of one of his friends.
he drug me down to kc with him & during that time my car broke down and so i have been sitting at his gay fathers house for 8 months without a car & job.

You're much too nice a person to be involved with such a loser. He'll drag you down deeper and deeper for sure. Get out of the place and, if he really loves you, he'll clean up his act, put you FIRST, and do his utmost to win you over. If that doesn't happen, you're still the winner. There are plenty of other guys who'd die for someone as unselfish as you!

my father has just become a grandfather for the first time and may never get to see his grandson because my brother has cut off all ties with him.. my best friend was offered a free holiday by his parents so he would be away on the day of his sister's wedding.. and what have these people done to deserve such heinous treatment?

it is so sad when i read threads of persons finding their in a cult, and want out .problem ,their family will shun them and ignore there own children and close family members.what if things were reversed?
what if the person leaving this cult shunned their loved ones, letting them know they are being brainwashed and you don't want their sick beliefs being pushed on them all over again.
i do believe cult members enjoy shunning , it makes them feel superior and they feel they are taking a strong stand just like the gb says to do .give them a taste of what they dish out ,shun the jw, if they won't convert to using their own mind, shun them with out guilt .

to clarify:.
on this site, and others, i regularly come across people who say they are "moving on", or "getting a life for themselves", or simply stating that they have "outgrown this place".. now, i'm not talking about people who have simply got bored with posting, or are cheesed off with someone else and decide not to post anymore.
i'm talking about ex's who have come here purely as some sort of therapy exercise and believe that, once recovery is achieved, that "moving on" is a necessary conclusion to their re-adjustment back to normality.. in other words, like sandra bullock believed in "28 days", they assume that leaving is a sign that they are no longer operating dysfunctionally.

I came here because I was in pain, told my story -- and was promptly swamped with love and affection. I've made some great friends here (though we may never, ever meet ) and, yes, it started off as rehab but, like you, I've grown to love the "family".
This a great place to hang out - and to stay.

Because of my background with computers, he is suggesting that I go with Military Inteligence. That would be great for my future as that could very well secure me a position with the FBI when I retire from the Army.
