You are absolutely right about that. What led to my disillusionment with the WT organization was they way they always seemed to interject themselves into even the most minute decisions you have to make about your life. What triggered the start of my departure two years later was moe, larry and curly elder, also affectionately known as your cheese and cracker men, coming to my house almost every weekend second guessing and grilling me about my decision to go back to school to get an education and improve my living conditions.

But what sealed the deal for me in 2002 was having the courage to do online research and then finding out the WT was "slapping skins" with the UN.

The light came on....I'll never go back.

My immediate family tried to warn me, but I was too hardheaded and didn't listen because none of them knew enough about JWs to clue me in on what the real deal about being a JW incompassed.

I only wish now that I had someone armed with the knowledge I have now to, at the time I was studying, talk to me about the "real deal" to counter all that fairy tale nonsense.

The loving asshole elder his father who was always too busy with out of state “quick-builds” to properly take care of his kids has been removed as an elder, now he is just an ordinary asshole.

fI've seen this type of attitude from many a "strong in the truth" male. their Johnny on the spot when it comes to taking care of WT activites and securing their position in the congregation while their family suffers in the background. Usually when they are removed they blame their family for their demise.

but, doesn't the Soceity breed this type of behaivior with their constant "can you do more" blathering?

I know that it is tough to live out there in the world but I don't understand the "kicked out at 25" thing. You really didn't expect for your parents to take care of you forever..did you???

I have a relative whose kids have been out of school for a number of years. They are not going to school and display no ambition. All they do is work on modifying the cars provided to them by their parents and consume. The youngest one has never held a job for any longer than a few months and quits whenever he has a few hundred dollars saved that he can use for fun for a few months.

Their JW mom have just about had it with their attitude. She feels that now is the time for her to spend persueing her own sidetracked needs and desires along with her husband instead of feeling bound to providing for her adult kids lifestyles.

Just how long are you supposed to wait for your kids to resolve to take care of themselves. It seems to me that most of the kids out there today feel that they are entitled to living the lifestyle they want supported by their parents for as long as they can get away with it instead of working hard creating their own life.

please remove that page.. didn't think it would amount to much - just another dub throwing his weight around on an apostate site he shouldn't be visiting.

however, i just received a demand from my web host to remove the kms or lose my website.

The" Letter" returns

last night when i got home from work low and behold my mother-in-law you know the one who wrote me "the letter" was sitting in my living room eating my food going over my wifes talk with her .

i went in my room took off my work clothes and came out and told her i have a problem with this.

you told me you could no longer talk or eat or socialize with me so why are you here in my home?

I personally would not have the "balls" (literally) to do it.

Actually, Sandy, it's easier than you think once you've made your point clear.

Whenever my in-laws or blood relatives run afoul of any of the very few requests we have while visiting my home, I, and my wife, have no problem with showing them the door. She's put a couple of my relatives out for insisting that they be able to smoke inside, and I, even though she still believes the WT to be the truth, have put a couple of her relatives out when they get derogatory towards me as a non-believer. In both cases, the relatives will stay away for awhile, stew in their juices, and not speak to us, but, in the end they realize that OUR home is OUR refuge from everything and we'll do what we both damn well please to ensure each others comfort while we're there.

I offer no suggestions to them on how they choose to run their homes and lives and that's a courtesy I INSIST on being reciprocated.

Ifind it incredibly arrogant that JW will take the attitude of shunning someone and actually think that the person being shunned actively participate in the act to make their life easier.

I think you done right by putting that woman out your home. If your wife had any respect for you at all, she wouldn't even allow her mother to treat you that way in your own home.

henschel passed away on

in the full time service for 69 years and was the 5th president.

I wonder if it'll be announced at any of the meetings.

My guess is that we'll all see the usual WT positive spin on this in a magazine. The WT is sure to try to get some type of mileage out of this.
