If the WTBTS ever admitted that Rutherford was just a power monger and a drunk and that Freddy was a lunatic!

Sorry, I forgot that Rutherford was the 'original' fds.(1919) And that Freddy was his ghost writer.

Had a very pleasant meeting with another EX-JW friend

he was up in my area visiting relatives.

it was so nice to see each other in person after well over a decade.

we have been communicating by e-mail and phone after connecting on facebook a few years ago.. we went to a local restaurant and talked for almost two hours.

I met up with several old boy and girl friends at the DC last week in Long Beach. I grew up in the LA area during the 60's and we use to have parties every weekend somewhere in LA or Orange county. From our conversations I could see my (literally) old friends were tired of the same o, same o. A couple of them mentioned that "we were not suppose to get old in this system" (1969 Awake!). I told them that the org has a new definition for the word "old". Old now means 'overlapping life spans' with our children and grandchildren. See we will never get old as long as we have offspring.

They thought it was funny (sort of) if it didn't hurt so bad!

so these last few wts have definitely eroded my wife's faith in the org.

she is definitely seeing the bs, and i even overheard her talking openly about it to a family member.

Jw's love the fact that the big A is "coming soooooon, is "just around the corner" (I have been hearing 'just around the corner' since I was 5yo, circa 1953) which means that almost 8 billion will die at the big A. No wonder "we are the happiest people on earth".

THE ONLY REASON THE gb IS 'INVITING' THE RANK AND FILE PUBS. IS BECAUSE THEY ARE EMBARRASSED THAT THEIR "SPECIAL-BY INVITATION ONLY" MEETING INFORMATION HITS THE WEB SITES BEFORE THE RANK AND FILE HEAR IT 'OFFICIALLY' FROM SOME SUPER DUB THAT GOT INVITED TO THE STANLEY. HARD TO KEEP IT A SECRET ANY MORE ESPECIALLY WITH SEMI-APOSTATES WORKING RIGHT THERE IN THE HEART OF THE CORPORATION.

why the blood ban?.

today i added a new article to my blog addressing watchtowers motivation to construct its infamous blood doctrine.

there are reports published that the reason was something other than religious conviction.

Really, would anyone still trust the WTBTS interpretation or understanding of the Bible any more. Jus tlook at the recent 'nu lite' crap.

If they got all that stuff wrong for 70-80 years, why would you trust that they got the blood ban right? They didn't get it right and everyone knows it but some would let their loved ones die for a misguided interpratation of scripture. OMG! i never supported the blood understanding even when I was an elder.

1914 not Christ's Return anymore?

looking at the public dec 2013 watchtower under bible questions answered it looks like they are saying that the invisible return of christ is completely in the future.

i thought that they always said it started in 1914?

am i reading this wrong?.

Hi Simon,

One can arrive at a place without returning. One can arrive in Ireland, having never been there, without returning.

WTS soliciting donations in Southern California

just talked to an older jw in my old hall.

he said there was a special 2 hour elder's meeting recently in southern california spanning many counties and areas.

apparently, due to the massive jw growth, the rbc or wt (he didn't know which one) will be announcing they they are asking each family to contribute $10/month toward new construction of kingdom halls in the southern california area.. .

More building activity to keep marginal witnesse busy on the weekends. No oone wants to go d2d anymore since it's so futile so now we can count time building new KH's. I personally know several brothers on the RBC that have told me that being on the RBC gets them out of a lot other boring JW stuff and they are still looked to as examples.
