  What do you think of the word:"THEOCRACY"

  when i come accross these coined phrase like "theocratic school" i wonder if it really is time to live a theocracy on earth, and it it is not an exageration by gb to make people think they occupy a undisputable place in that theocracy where anybody who challenges them, challenges theos.. is the theocratic attitude on earth christian?

  How about; JUDGE Rutherford (he was never a judge, he just liked important sounding titles)

  How about everytime a brother is introduced as a speaker at a DC, his 'unofficial' TITLE is specifically mentioned and how long he has been 'serving'?

  How about everytme a GB member is introduced as a speaker it starts with. 'Governing Body member'?

  if you had the pleasure of hearing the watchtower today what a good way to cover their tracks right after the am!

  so if their is any doubts they will scare it out of the rank and file!

  i have to give it to them they did their best to plan this out along with all the new light i guess it was to trya and stop the internal bleeding.

  Everything printed in the WT nowadays needs to be decoded. In print they may say one thing, but in practice its another thing. I always liked the CO's telling us to look at the illustrations and pictures in the WT as a 'guide line' for dress and grooming.

  I have personally been involved, as an elder, in 3 cases of 'child molestation'. Our first response was to call the 'Legal Department' in New York. The Legal Department always asked "Who knows about this?"

  The real message from the legal department was, "Do everything to make sure this goes no further. Protect Jehovah's good name."

  One brother, who was our PO at the time, was molesting his own daughter for years! Five years later he was giving talks at District Conventions!

  between two congregations that i know of four elders have stepped down in the last two months!

  there is something really going on in this mandmade organization!

  I stepped down on 2 different occasions, the latest being 5 years ago. My second go around as an elder was to try to be a voice of reason. Of 8 judicial disfellowshipping committee matters, I voted NO every time.

  it irks me when i read in the watchtower do not use secular sources or the internet to do research... but in that very same wt it will quote a secular source or literature to prove a point!

  how hypocritical!!!

  Governing Body in revised Bible?

  my husband said there was a post on here where it gave a scripture that was 'revised' using the phrase ''governing body''.

  can any of you help me find the post or tell me the scripture?

  he thinks it was in the book of romans or acts.. .

  Ever notice how the org. never capitalizes 'governing body' (common noun) when referring to the 'so-called' first century 'governing body', BUT the term 'Governign Body' referring to the modern day dudes is now a proper noun, capitalized proper noun. How modest of them!
