In Job chapter 2, apostate Satan enters into Jehovah's house and the 2 of them have a full blown conversation. Sounds like Jehovah also broke the GB rule on shunning. Hope Jehovah doesn't get df'ed.

if satan is the #1 apostate, and apostates are not to be talked to, why then did jesus even talk to him?.
why did jesus, if he is supposed to be our example, even talk to him?.
why doesn't the bible say "and satan tried to talk to jesus, and jesus ignored him.
In Job chapter 2, apostate Satan enters into Jehovah's house and the 2 of them have a full blown conversation. Sounds like Jehovah also broke the GB rule on shunning. Hope Jehovah doesn't get df'ed.

i see people mentioning this and have visited the site looking at all posted wt's.......i see no paragraph's discussing 'generations'....does anyone have any direction?.
No worry! the GB will soooooon redefine the word 'overlapping' to mean 'as long as necessary', and the word 'generation' will be re-explained to be a hypothetical term just like 'evil slave' in hypothetical. NULITE!

I'm sure that if possible the GB would love to have all convetions on the same days so the entire program can be piped in from the GB. Mass hypnosis and indoctrination. Just think of the money they could save. But they might not get to travel the world as much.

a friend of mine is an electrician supervisor.
back in 1975, one of his employees was a jw.
the jw was so convinced that 1975 would bring the end of the world, that the jw took off from work (like, the first week in january) and sat on the top of a north carolina mountain waiting for armegheddon.
We had JW friends that ran up their credit cards and bought new cars in 1973-4, knowing that they would never have to pay them off. The wife, later left him for his bible student and is no longer a dub. The husband is still a sort of dub and got remarried to a woman half his age. LOL

not too long ago i had a long conversation with an elder and at some point the topic went towards exceptions to the rule and how everything is not black and white.. his example he gave me....he asked if two married sisters who have unbelieving spouses were invited to a christmas party at their spouses workplace, if it would be wrong for both of them to go.
he went on that it depends on the reasons.
he said sister a husband is well mannered and responsible, is okay with her not going, and her going there would merely be participating in everything.
Endof Mysteries,
Next conversation with that elder, ask him if it's okay for a JW to accept 'blood fraction' as outlined by the org? When he answers, "'yes', but it's a matterofconscience,"ask him, "Who donated the blood from which those 'fractions' are extracted?"

i have always been somewhat amazed that the jw and general christian view on both these events only focus on the supernaturel abilities of chirst to provide to the hungry mutitudes.
this is then used as evidence that he will and is feeding and providing for all on earth and thus is an indication of his loving and giving nature.. as a simple and dismissive explaination of the factual material contained in both events and the complete disregard of the fact that the gospels clearly state that the events have a far more significant meaning that even the twelve appear not to understand, and is never explained by christ, i am of the view that these two events and those which are associated with them must hold a much higher significance than any christrain religion has ever given them, due to their lack of understanding also.. has anyone ever looked at these events more closely?
has anyone on this ever come up with an explaination with to regard to the no of loafs, no of fish, and the no of baskets of fragments, and also their timing in the year and week when they occured?.
Only those present to hear Jesus preach got fed! Sounds like the model of many churches that feed the hungry in their community who first listen to a sermon by the local minister. It would have really been impressive if Jesus would have fed ALL the hungry people in Israel.

It's the 'circle of life'. We had 4 children and even though my wife and I struggled at times, we would not go back and change it even if we could! But we have one son and daughter-in-law that have decided not to have children. That's their choice and we support them. Hard to imagine our life without our children being a major part of it.

these two guys that ran over a man and then hacked him to death , shown on cctv where their is absolutely no doubt as to their involvement ?
they should be taken out and shot , no trial ,end of story.and they admit it , trying to use an excuse of warfare or whatever .kill the bastards.. smiddy.
Smiddy,
These 2 may go to prison, learn the "TRUTH"(tm), and later be used on a CA or DC experience to show how people can change! You know, like a poor pioneer suddenly receiving a check for $500.00 in the mail from a long lost relative so he can get to a far away DC. All things are possible with Jah.

just saw this and thought i would pass it along .
its about a young jw who died.
because of jw blood policy.
One of my best JW friends, Rick, lost his oldest son in a very similar way. His son had aplastic anemia. After his son died, following a very long battle, Rick and I had very long discussion regarding the fact that a blood transfusion was the ONLY and Final option offered by the doctors. His son would no doubt still be alive and 'serving' Jehovah had he taken blood. Rick's entire family are JW's and his son was also a pioneer JW. Rick, unlike Lawrence Hughes, did not publicly protest. However, Rick never recovered from his son's death because he knew that the JW blood policy was just wrong. Whenever we got together after his son died, Rick had many tearful discussions with me. He blamed himself alot for not telling his dying son what he really felt about the stupid blood policy. It was extremely hard to watch my friend so remorseful and sad as he talked about his son. A few years of saddness passed and Rick took his own life. Although I will never know for sure why Rick committed suicide, deep down I do know. I threw away my 'blood card' and have talked to my wife many times about what I will do if I get in Rich's or Lawrence's position.

100 years from 1914 is a long time.
people has been born and grown old and died.
like my grandparents who were jws.
You need to get the right perspective. 100 years is NOT a long time! IF you are a tree! And the Bible does refer to the "big trees of righteousness". So just think of yourself as a tree and everything fits. And don't leaf off meeting attendance, study, prayer, FS, and association. Branch out in your service and Never leaf Jehovah or you'll get cut down at the big 'A'.
