Dilemma
by Gorbatchov ingorby and his lovely wife had during dinner a chat about watchtower hypocrisy.
she faded with me since 2007 and shows sometimes affection for the organization.. we talked about the gb and ray franz.. she asked me if she could read my ray franz books.. now i have a dilemma.
the books gave me a hard time in the '90.. i know the ray franz truth can hurt and shock her so much.

Most absurd thing I heard at the convention yesterday!

i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.
"there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind,electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".

I also enjoyed how Steve Lett, after explaining the "nu understanding " about the 3rd heaven (BS) contained in first Cor., said at the end of his convuluted explanation, (and I loosely paraphrase what he said " Now I won't go into what we (JW'S) use to believe on this subject---BECAUSE IT WILL JUST CONFUSE YOU!" No SH**T, that is what he said. Wow, we sure don't want to be confused with TRUTH now, do we?

I've know 2 brothers that died who had a reasonable chance of surviving had they taken a blood transfusion. What a sick doctrine we jw's have. Nice to know that jw's can now "accept" blood 'fractions'. Praise jehober and the gobbering body of jw's for the 'nu-lite'. What is with the loving, kind, tender, wonderful god jehober anyway? Since the time of Abel, jehober has been requiring blood sacrifices and the slaughter of the animals to appease him?

Strange story from Assembly
by Clambake ini am at the assembly and the last speaker of the day is doing some boring and cliche talk about trusting in jehovah and not being anxious and stuff.
then he starts into this story about this 11 year old boy named nigel who has cancer and is going to have a court ordered blood transfusion.. i am getting up to leave because i am thinking he is going to start into some story about he managed to get out of it and died for jehovah or something like that.
the speaker never finishes the story about what finally happened.

Most of the 'tear jerker' or 'pulling on the heart strings' stories at conventions are concoctions or embellishments. Of course the real names are never used so that the story can never be substanciated.
FYI I attendedthe Long Beach, CA (USA) RC this past weekend. 9,000 attended--------40 dipped.Mostly 'kids'.

International Conventions
by tenyearsafter injust saw a facebook post from an acquaintance who just went to the international convention in dallas, tx.
according to his post, there were approximately 50,000 in attendance on sunday, with 468 baptized.
there were an additional 9 conventions tied to this one, with an attendance of approximately 100,000 and 609 baptisms total, including dallas.

i was abused by a handful right from the start, presumably on the basis of the avatar picture (and 2001 vintage).. when visiting dubland, i often find that others start fights with me - for whatever reason, and i provide quite a supply of them - and when it doesn't quite go the way they expected, they cry persecution.

Elders answer questions about the changes of the blood ban
by opusdei1972 insome days ago two elders visited my sister because she has not been attending the meetings more than one year.
this time she prepared notes containing watchtower past teachings about the blood ban so as to ask them for those changes, and it seems that the elders were also prepared for her past questions.
for instance she showed them that "albumin" was considered "under scriptural ban" in 1956 (read the page 20 of awake, september 8).

It is very strange the the org has been sooooo silent on the blood issue for several years now. Just don't talk about it and it will go away? Works if you haven't lost a loved one or friend because of the absolutely stupid blood ban.

"It's not religious..." Wait... What???
by dynamiterose77 inmy friend, mike works as a massage therapist, and there is a woman at the shop that is super-jw-woman and is constantly hounding him with things.. today, he's messaging me and he tells me that she was trying to push a brochure or something on him.
he said he'd really rather not read a religious pamphlet.. so... she says, "it's not religious... it's from god.".
isn't that kinda what religious means?
