Sales is the lifeline for every corporation. Sales dry up and corporations go bankrupt. Business basics 101 right?
What is the Watchtower Corporation selling now? It ain't printed literature nor 'miracle wheat' that's for sure. They can only sell so much real estate before the 'rank and file' rebel. "The end is near" for the wtbts. Let us pray.

Disquieting thought. Dubs can 'fudge' the numbers on the field service report and no one really checks up on it, but when it comes to monitoring your bank account it would be very difficult to fudge your "donation" amount if the borg "lovingly" suggests a direct bank transfer. Holy sh*t!

rutherford's eyes it was not distinctive enough from a marketing point of view, (having restructured "the business" after its severe contraction in the 20s due to his failed 'vision') so he came up with a name which featured the creator's distinctive name, "jehovah's witnesses" - a business strategy employed in those days by kellog and many others.. we now describe them as 'designer names'.. here are the scriptural proofs, but of course, they may count for nothing in some people's eyes because the "glorious ones" in brooklyn say differently!
Great thread! I copied and pasted the list of 28 scriptures showing that jw's should be jesus witnesses. I have shared it with my still-in wife. She didn't comment, but she definitely though about it!

two sisters did a magazine demo recently.
one used her tablet to show a scripture to the other one.
the second one said: "that looks easier than trying to find it in a book.".
jw's are now a high tech religion. Yea it's an about face, but at least those who go to meetings can now check out the sports scores , ebay, instagram, etc. When I go that's exactly what I do and it sure makes the time pass. Thank you jehober!

isn't it ironic - the one day of the year you can pretty much guarantee that most people are not only home but anticipating people people calling at their door ... and jehovah's witnesses don't go out that day.. heck, if the householder isn't receptive they even have the get-out option of claiming it was a joke and they dressed up as jehovah's witnesses for halloween!
:d. of course we know the aim of the ministry for most is to avoid talking to people.
that's why they do it during the day midweek or on sat morning or sun afternoon when people are most likely out..
If jw's are at home when the door bell rings with trick or treat, they hide and pretend to be a 'not at home'. lol

I was one who "stepped down" citing stress and burn out. I lied. I just 'woke up' and I really think that's the real reason so many long time elders are "stepping down". This ain't mama's 'old time' religion anymore. This is a corporation calling itself a religion.
