it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.
I have noticeably stopped using the term "the truth" when referring to anything jw. Several of my relatives and friends have noticed and asked --why?
I always answer that; "it's sort of a misnomer don't you think with all the changes to what we previously were taught was "the truth"?"
I get some very strange looks!

i've always found it amazing that people can say with such conviction that jehovah is their friend.. we are talking about a "friend" who perhaps daily "tests" us to see if we are his friends.
all of us have dealt with some form of hardship such as the death of a loved one, chronic illness or whatever.
it is in these cases that the brothers will tell a person that perhaps it is a test, or that "jehovah knows you're not ready" or some other lame excuse.. do our real friends "test" us to see if we will be loyal to them?
With a friend like jehober, who needs enemies?

johnny the bethelite on this program talks about the older bethelites being targeted by watchtower.they are getting rid of those at bethel who are 65-87 years old, some being anointed even the widows of former governing body members who gave decades of loyal service time to the watchtower organization.. the reasons the very elderly are being expelled are money in that for their age range they cost so much to cloth, fed, and medicate, having problems from high blood pressure to dementia.

I doubt that they would send the oldest ones packing. Too much "bad press" would result if it were true. They know that they oldest ones will only "be on the books" for a few more years and, once gone to their heavenly reward, then they can then boast about how wonderfully those older ones were cared for in their waning years.
In the future I believe they will not keep anyone beyond a certain age (50?) because they know that the 'big A' is not coming to bail them out of the financial burden of caring for older people. After all, the big 'A' has already been delayed for "generations" so to speak. lol

they say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.
i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.
they say 'who would want to live life like a robot?
"Free will" is the term used to explain that they just don't know why shit happens.
"Wait on jehober" is the term they use to explain why shit keeps on happening.
"Overlapping generations" is the term they use to explain that ship will continue to happen as long as people exist.
