i have been sadly watching as the number of jws in other countries are decreasing (for the most part), while the numbers in the us are strangely increasing.

while i question the organization's self reporting numbers, i think 2018 may be the year for another mass us exodus.

leah remini's show will be focusing on jws in her show on a&e.

What I have certainly notice of late is the wide spread apathy among jw's. Even the super, gong-ho jw's of yesteryear are now showing cracks in the armor that once seemed impenetrable. When the wife and I get together with other long time jw's, the conversation no longer centers on pioneering, serving where the need is great (where the great are needed), making big plans to attend a foreign convention and other typical jw talking items. Now it more on current events, who's getting married, (or divorced), retirement planning, and their new big screen tv.

No energy at the meeting just going along for the ride. APATHY rules the day among jw's.

Uncovering "GOD"

with self-righteous indignation, the watchtower society (wts) points to its restoration of the hebrew tetragram (hwhy = “yahweh” = = = > “jehovah”) wherever the english translator renders it as “lord”..

the wts complains that the use of “lord” hides the fact that the name (“jehovah” for the wts) is intended.

however, with its call of “look over here, look over here”, the wts diverts attention, probably unintentionally, from related information that it, in turn, does not reveal..

this is my first post, i will introduce myself later.

first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?

some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.

I think that most fear,as I once did, the realization that all the 'sacred knowledge' that they believed for decades is actually bullsh*t. That is a very frightening prospect.

a load of j.w's in my family and the congregation i attend as a pimo have been saying the end is very close because the anglo american world superpower is clearly still the king of the south, and russia is now clearly king of the north due to persecuting and banning the religion there and seizing property.. i've forgot what the religion used to teach and maybe still does, about the timing of all this king of north + south stuff, the attack on all religion by the u.n and then the attack on j.w's who will be left standing.

i mean, i thought jehovah was going to put it into the u.n's minds to ban or attack all other religions, then the attack on j.w's, but witnesses seem to think the end is so, so close because russia has banned them.. it's sad, as some dubs i know have sold their homes and made other big decisions so they can pioneer in these 'very last of the last days'..

Consider the source, Daniel is the same bible book that tells the whopper of a story of 4 boys thrown into a furnace and come out later unscathed, caged lions that refuses to eat Daniel but eat other men, hand writing on the wall, and a mighty king that eats grass and crawls around in the countryside like a wildebeest for 7 years.
