Does any wt shit make sense to you? Say bye bye to "making sense" when you become a jw!

you will be resurrected.
but if you live one more day when armageddon starts you will die a horrible death with no chance of a resurrection.
makes sense to me!.

i sat in recently with some relatives for the sunday meeting.
the talk was given by a bethel speaker, who at one point quoted john 20:25.
“but he said to them: “unless i see in his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side, i will never believe it.”.
Like all religions, jw's only pay attention to the fine details, the root meaning of Greek and Hebrew word, when it supports their teachings. Nothing new here!

hi guys.
sooner or later we're going to get a jw knocking on our door.
just like when we were jw's doing the knocking, it's good to have a question prepared to get them thinking about their own beliefs.
"Yo! What the latest iteration that the wt has received from jehober regarding "this generation?" lol lol
just saying!
did you notice this?
2020 governing body update #5. https://www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/mediaitems/latestvideos/docid-702020307_1_video.
why do they show the black goat in the picture?
I don't think too much about personal choice in decorating such as statues etc. However, if this black goat was seen in a video with any other religious leader, you can bet your ass that the wt and pimi jw's would surely associate it with demonism or some sort of 'false' worship!

disfellowship but never, ever announce it.. this new procedure is to be confirmed - anyone else come across it?.
for this record these are jesus' actual instructions in relation to this matter:-.
(matthew 18:15-17) 15 “moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone.
No DF'ing would cause the borg to lose control of the sheeple if they no longer had the "fear factor" at their disposal. I don't think it's happening!
But then again if it could have some future negative affect on the financials of the borg, such as losing their tax exempt status, you can bet your ass that DF'ing will go the way the "this generation" teaching. New light from above will shine down on the gb!

i have a niece who is trying to get pregnant.
she was telling me her husband had to go to a room with porn in it and masturbate into a cup to get tested.
i never thought of this before but but how would a jw handle this.
Talking about masturbation, I once asked a fellow elder if his parents had ever caught him jerking off! Of course, he answered a resounding NO!
To which I replied, "you must have had a good hiding place"!
We both got a good laugh out of that one!

after years of being with jws you start to see a certain developmental characterization of most jws, particularly from elders who have the most power in each congregation.
.
the ideology follows along the route of holding up a white sheet over the entire organization, as well each identified individual member (brothers and sisters) which no doubt most jws will inevitably exploit toward themselves.. i personally recognized what hypocrisy was at young age from seeing and being around jws at the kingdom halls and what they were like away from the halls.. there is forced pretentiousness at play which comes out by jws.. having being reminded repetitively that god almighty sent his only begotten son to redeem their sins probably had some relevant connection.. there was no question to the fact that jws are associated with delusions, anxiety, fear, ignorance, subsided with prejudice against others who are not recognized as being active jws .. we are the most righteous chosen ones as it were and that self recognizance goes deep into the jws's consciousness in their daily living.
A letter that I sent to my very PIMI mother-in-law a few years back.
"Sometimes during my daily morning musings, I think about things that I have often wondered about but not taken the time to really examine. I know that not everyone sees things through my eyes, (and that’s a real good thing) but I sometimes wonder if I’m the only one that’s noticed that we jw’s, from the top down, seem to have an “air” about us, a sort of quiet yet subtle but smug arrogance toward those who are not jw’s.
I long ago realized that if any religion’s “truth" was based on supposition or interpretation then it wasn't worth getting into an argument or debate about and certainly not worth dying over. We jw’s have historically been very ‘hung up’ on doctrinal interpretations that have set us apart.
Did Jesus die on a cross or a stake? Are Jesus & Michael one and the same? Will the people of Sodom & Gomorrah be resurrected? Who is the King of the North or King of the South? IMHO, the wt organization uses such unprovable topics to convince the faithful that their leadership provides greater Bible insights than the rest of Christendom; therefore, this PROVES that we, jw’s, have the truth and ‘they’, other religions, don’t.
But to be fair and balanced, I know that jw’s have not 'cornered the market' on smugness and arrogance. It seems to me that all fundamentalist religions believe that they have the 'truth' and, as a result, have the same subtle smug attitude.
I wonder if it comes from being told repeatedly how "special and unique" we are, that we are the “happiest people on earth”, that we, and we alone, have been “chosen by god”? Is that why we sort of ‘look down’ on ordinary, normal members of our community because they are not jw’s? Is that why we label them with the unflattering label--- “worldly”?
To me, it seems that any form of ‘love’ or concern that we show to non jw’s in our community is conditional------ as long as they will listen when we preach to them...otherwise we don’t have the time for them and we sort of view them of little value...after all, they’re going to be destroyed during the big “A”, right?
A large portion of the information that most jw’s have come to believe about the “world” is what we are told at the meetings and through wt publications. We are told about the way the “world” is, thinks, behaves, etc. The ‘having to believe’ everything we hear at the meetings gives many jw’s the idea that we know more about non jw’s (aka worldly people) than these non jw’s know about themselves, and because we then believe we know more, do we then quietly and unknowingly take on a smug arrogance?
This air of quiet ‘smug arrogance’ is also, in a lesser way, demonstrated by some within even within the congregation. If you are not pioneering, not a MS, not an elder / elder's wife, not a Bethelite, not putting in at least 10 hours in field service, etc. then you are sometimes viewed as sort of weak in the eyes of some jw’s.
As a jw, all you have to do is listen to gb members like Anthony Morris. There doesn’t seem to be a humble bone in his body. The zone meeting a year and a half ago he talked about 23 year old men who are not MS's. He stated that these men are not good marriage material for “theocratic” sisters!
Ever since I have personally relinquished all of my "badges" and "stripes", otherwise known as "theocratic privileges" as an “appointed man” it is very easy to see who I really am. I’m just a pile of dust and no better than others. I have no intention to influence or drag anyone away from their faith, i.e. what they truly believe of their own free will. Choosing a life course should be an informed choice and not something that one inherits from their parents. I know now that real ‘truth’ fears no inquiry and if we cannot openly question what we’ve been taught to believe, why?"

with the virus thing going on, there's more tv time here in the rub a dub household.. watching jaws for the 20th time still is fun.
then all the killer stingray, whales and other sea creatures is interesting.. we watched moby's dick last night.
it's an old classic like jaws.
Loved the movie Jaws. Parts of that movie scared the sh*t out of me. I was an avid scuba diver when Jaws premiered but in all of my many diving trips in the waters off Southern California and Central California and the Channel Islands off California, I only saw 2 smallish sharks. Seems that sharks like the east coast of the USA better these days!
That large fish that swallowed old Jonah, now that was a BIG FISH or maybe Jonah was a midget. After-all he was able to hide under a bottle gourd tree that grew up in one day!

there's yet another talk to add to the list of talks written specifically for damage control against "apostates".
the speaker says, "some who were once part of the christian congregation attempt to mislead us", that they tell "false accusations" & "lies".
to combat this, he says that you should "protect your ears from damaging noise by not listening to it", comparing it to wearing "noise canceling headphones".
This is the "best convention ever". So cool to watch an parade of stuffy, old (mainly white), self righteous, pompous men get up and expound on how wonderful jehober is! Clearly they running out of fresh material to expound on! And jw's are certainly becoming a video religion. Those videos are so culty and corny! I watch with my PIMI wife but even she acknowledges how ridiculous it is to get dressed up so we sit there in our PJ's or other 'suitable' comfortable clothing. Boxers and a tee shirt for me!

i have a couple of thoughts on the blood and shunning doctrines, both of which have been covered well before.
here, and on j.w facts.com and elsewhere.. but i would like to point out the following, the only scriptures they can use in reality for their blood doctrine are the verses from acts chapter 15. o.t verse are really out of the question, and dishonest to use on their part, as they do not follow most of the injunctions in there!.
the context of acts 15 is a council of the apostles and others in the jerusalem congregation, to decide what they should ask of gentile christians in the way of behaviours and practices etc, as jewish christians were demanding they comply with the mosaic law, or were, at the very least offended if they did not.
Decades ago, when I was an elder, (OMG I can't believe I ever thought that being an elder was a good thing) a young sister accepted a blood transfusion. She had 2 very young children at home and certainly didn't want to die and leave her kids motherless. When the elders were informed, we formed a committee to investigate. I was on the committee with 2 other self righteous elders! She admitted that she caved under "pressure" (AKA common sense based on medical science). We "gave" her strong counsel and private reproof and she was not df'ed.
Moral of the story:
It's easier to ask for "forgiveness" than to ask for permission!
