  Need to find those Km or Wt articles encouraging all to read the old publications!

  i have been dropping comments to a few re some classic old beliefs and teachings etc... and when asked "where did you read that, or how come you are saying such and such?

  " i have replied "well, you remember we have often been told to study and research our old 'theocratic history' and 'old gems' of material?....

  now though i have been challenged to prove where this has been printed!.

  Make sure you check with the elders as to which information in the "old publications" is okay to read. Otherwise you may have your eyes opened!

  Jon,
  The witnesses are not your enemies. The WTBTS is the enemy. I still feel a bit lonely now that I have faded and only attend meeting once in a while. I was very depressed when I first woke up to ttatt. I had a very difficult war going on inside my head since I had been a jw all my 60+ years. I had beena pioneer, elder, PO, etc. But the constantly changing dogma and especially the df'ing policy finally got to me. I've been faded for about 2 years now but it took a toll on me. I'm fine now and content in the knowledge that I'm not being controlled by a bunch of self deluded, egomaniacs. Hang in there and it will be worth the journey.

  public speaking i hate hate hate any form of public speaking.

  job interviews, presentations (for job interviews or in the work environment), telephone interviews etc.

  it seemed to me that everyone in my kh has accepted the fact that they will die.

  that's all they kept saying, even the wt conducting eldumb said, " we have to teach the next generation because we won't be here forever.." wth?!???

  LOL! I think that we all know now that what we believed 30 or 40 years ago was a load of BS. But---thank you WTBTS for reminding us that the fantasy BS you taught 30 or 40 years ago is completely different than what you teach today. Thank you for reminding us that we are now much older and wiser and not nearly as gullible as we once were.

  CO's & DO's age 70+ to be laid off on 9/1/14

  in a private conversation with a c.o.

  friend from north carolina, he told me yesterday that they just got a letter that all traveling overseers (do's & co's) age 70 & up are going to be laid off on 09/01/2014.

  they will be asssigned to local congregations and further details are pending.. .

  I'd venture to say that many are "fed up" with the WTBTS's constant 'end of the world' soooooon prattle. They been preaching it for 30-40 years as DO's and CO's. They have grown "old" believing and preaching about how they would "never get old in this system". Reality has cought up with many in the WTBTS and i don't doubt that many of the older DO's and CO's just don't believe it anymore and it probably show in their activity. They like their coffee breaks much more than going on Bible studies.

  i'm thinking around 20% have serious doubts and 99% have some doubts but keep them from becoming conscious to avoid cognitive dissonance.

  this is becoming increasingly harder to do over the fact that the governing body are showing their true colors and the contridictions are so great..

  Most DO's and CO's are too old to "change". I've been a dub my whole life (now 67 yo) and because I'm not dependent on the WTBTS for my living, I can be honest and say that I wasted most of my life believing the in the WTBTS. No more. I recently heard a DO at the CA say "I know that some of you may be disturbed over smoe of the new light as expressed in the 7/15/13 WT" His words not mine. I truly believe that he was disturbed by the outlandish stuff in that WT.

  ok. i'm a brit as some of you know.. what i noticed with the wbt$ is how they only seem to write from an american cultural standpoint.

  not a bad thing if you're one of my cousins form the usa i admit........ but.... here in the uk there are some things that are meaningless to us.. eg hazing.

  this was warned about in a study and over here we had no idea what it was and it kind of alienated the congregation from the study.

  I was in England a few years back and got into a friendly banter with a very personable British bus driver. He was quite honest in admitting that we Yanks do indeed drive on the right side of the road! I thanked him. Then he informed me that the Brits do however drive on the 'correct' side of the road. Got me!

  Yeah, I did the same thing along wth all notes from the 'elders school' Iattended over the years. I'm now working on ripping up all the crap stored in my head. So far so good!

  Is the Russian action in the Crimea prophetic gold for the GB?

  so chatter on the net and in coffee shops suggests lots of speculation about the re-emergence of russia as the king of the north.

  does this political situation give the gb a golden opportunity to simply let speculation about prophecy fly and keep people distracted from the fact that nothing they have prophecied has actually come true?.

  If they bring back the "king of the north" vs "the king of the south" stuff, they may also bring back "the ressurrection of the ancient worthies" teacing. That's no doubt part or the reason that they are building a palacial new complex in upstate NY to house those "faithful men of old" who will be ressurrected sooooooon!
