painfully reading an article of may 15, 2015 (extra-simplified edition) and again observed this phraseology: the bible does not say, but .... so, did satan hope to tempt her with the luxurious palaces of pharaoh and abimelech?
did satan think that she would betray her husband and even jehovah by marrying one of those kings?
the bible does not say, but it is very likely that the devil would have been overjoyed if sarah had lost the opportunity to become part of the messiahs family line.. .
"The Bible doesn't say----but (The gb will fill in the blanks for the mindless, spineless suckers that believe anything we say)

"for we are walking by faith, not by sight" 2 corinthians 5:7. that's it right there.
don't value the evidence of your own eyes or trust what you can measure and test; no, just have faith.. the frustration is that even when this is pointed out to the devout believer they still don't see the problem.
they still see faith as a virtue and something superior to 'sight'..
Pete
I realize that myself and many others were using the word faith to feel good about not wanting to bother looking any further.

so where did god exist before he created the heavens?
So Jesus is god after all. "In the beginning---God created" Colossians chapter 1 says that "all things" in heaven and earth came into existence by means of Jesus.

That scripture contradicts what Jesus told his disciples---doesn't it? He told them to look for the signs (i.e. visible proof) that the end was near---right? Also, Why then is the wtbts always 'looking' for, and pointing out to others, "visible signs" of the end? Isn't it enough to "just believe" it will happen? lol

I went to the elder school in Norco CA back in 1973. You know, just 2 years before the big "A" was gonna happen. We were all so pumped up about our 'privilege' of being there since we were all going to be the "Presiding Overseer" during 1975! We (class of 25 men) genuinely felt IT if you know what I mean. Today I still know several of the guys that attended that class. Only one is still 'going strong' for the truff! Why is that? It was all just total BS and hype! Sadly, some of the really good men that attended, are now gone without ever even getting a sniff of the "promised" paradise!
I still have the picture of that class of 25 good men along with Brother Russell Dixon (the instructor). O,The power of a cult!

it's a very sad story.
their deaths were completely avoidable if she hadn't refused the blood transfusion:.

"there are only three reasons you should miss a meeting.
fever, fracture or funeral.
everything else is a sorry excuse.
My 3 reasons for missing meetings:
1) fun
2) football
3) freedom

perhaps i'm just getting older and crankier, but it really seems to me that the jw faith is deteriorating at an accelerated rate.. case in point: this year's memorial talk.
it was one of the most incoherent messes i've ever heard.
(and i've heard a lot of memorial talks over the last 50 years....).
Not only the was talk hollow, but the entire proceedings were mind numbing! God how did we put up with that for so long? Stupid ceremony of passing a plate and goblet around. What a crock!
