One of the subjects that Abraham discussed during his 'family worship' night was;
"How to cook you son on an open fire".
It was a lively discussion that truly brought the family closer to jehober!

there were many addressed to me.
for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.
i then fired back a her: "you saw the r-rated movie 'backdraft.
"You need to pray more, and go to all the meetings!" (and give more money!)

it's been years since i've prayed and the last one i prayed to was the god known as jehovah.
just wondering.
When I prayed, I prayed to jehober. When I finally realized that jehober (and all other gods) were invented by man, I stopped praying. Now when I talk to myself (which is what praying really is), at least I can get an answer. However, if praying makes one feel better, I say keep praying.

i think possibly their are a few valid reasons for either options to this question ,depending on a number of factors .. such as how old you might be, how long you have devoted your life to the "truth" as you believed it .
?....how it may affect your mental/physical health and well being.?.
how it will affect your financial position in your life ,?
Hey Smiddy,
I'm 68 now and had been a dub since I was 4. Like most life long dubs I had no choice due to my mom's influence and the threat of being df'ed. For a long time I think I really and truly bought into the wtbts crap. I was a 'golden boy' for the wtbts. Baptized at 12, pioneer at 18, giving public talks throughout the circuit by 19, lots of circuit assembly parts, 2 year sentence for not going to Vietnam, elder at 23 when the 'elder program' started, and the list goes on. By the time I finally 'really' woke up and started doing the research that my logical, reasonable mind demanded, I was nearly 60. By that time I had been suffering tremendously from cognitive dissonance an needed several weeks in a mental health facility to help me realize why I was so depressed and ready to end it all.
Needless to say I survived and today I'm a truly happy person. No more fear of the borg, no more toiling endlessly for the borg. My wife isn't especially happy about my 'awakening' but she certainly sees a better me. My children see me differently but I know that they like the "real" me. I now actually have genuine time for my family to enjoy life. The TRUTH (aka ttatt) really does set you free.

due to circumstances right now i cannot leave permanently the watchtower, however i need honest advice of what to say when elders question me how come im not meeting the group out for door to door & going out in " field service"... what would be proper responses not to draw suspicions since i'm aware of ttatt.. .any serious advice please...
I stopped all FS about 2 years ago. I've had one visit from an elder, who is also a friend.
He asked me why I was not out in FS and regular at meetings and so I told him that I had 'just lost my sense of urgency'. Of course, he asked why I'd 'lost my sense of urgency' which is exactly what I wanted him to ask me.
It was my opportunity to explain, very kindly, that the gb/org/corporation/society no longer had a sense of urgency for the preaching work. I explained to him that the construction of new 'worldwide headquarter' BUILDINGS was the most important work. Why did the org need 'new' bigger, better BUILDINGS when the preaching work was suppose to be the most important work and the time is "so short". I showed him that literally millions of man hours are being devoted to building BUILDINGS and CAMPUS' that are not necessary to accomplish the preaching. He got my point and I haven't had any inquiries since.

according to the scriptures, jehovah makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous.
- matthew 5:45. in that case, if we look at the account in genesis, god is shown to give pharaoh a dream that he will cause seven years of famine.. genesis 41: pharaohs dreams.
25 then joseph said to pharaoh, the dreams of pharaoh are one and the same.
Here's a thought about who's in control when it comes to the weather. This is loosely taken from a blog by Cedar's on his web site. I've made good use of this observation by our friend Cedar's many time to "witness" to my witness friends. The sobering observation illustrates just how ridiculous and naive JW's can really be.
Who controls the weather?
On October 5th, 2013 at the 129th annual meeting of the WTBTS, Governing Body member, Geoffrey Jackson announced the release of the revised new world translation of the Bible. At that meeting he alluded to the fact that Jehovah had blessed the Wallkill Bethel with favorable summer weather which allowed the new bibles to be ready in time for the annual meeting release. In other words, Jehovah had somehow intervened in the weather so as to allow the bibles to be printed at a time normally not favorable for bible printing due to high heat and humidity.
One month later, super Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on November 8, 2013. Tragically, 43 JW’s lost their lives during that typhoon. Even more tragically, 22 of those lost were swept out to sea while gathered together in a Kingdom Hall for worship!
So did Jehovah control the weather at Wallkill so bibles could be printed but not in the Philippines where 43 of his witnesses perished due to a weather event? Something doesn’t add up here!
I was also thinking about prayer. Why Jehovah “answers” some prayers and not others. If God "answered your prayers" and saved your child from cancer, it implies God has the ability to save other children from cancer, also, but chose not to.

jehovah's witnesses are unreasonable in the way they expect the larger community to respond to their no blood policy.
the medical community is too often held hostage by their insistence on adhering to tan erroneous interpretation of an old book.. jehovah's witness claims surgeon refused to operate.
(*full article at link).
The 'blood issue' is becoming a giant "cluster f**k" for the wtbts. Blood fractions?? lol--really! What a joke!
Anytime I get a chance, I point out to the brothers, sisters, my wife and others conscientious JW's that whenever they have a "blood test" or blood drawn to check for various health issues, they are violating the the watchtower blood policy because they are actually 'donating' blood for non sacrificial purposes. The blood should be poured out on the ground, not sent to some laboratory for processing--right?

This topic may have been an OP previously but I didn't get an opportunity to comment so here goes;
Mine are pretty simple;
The BEST day of my life:
It was the day I married my beautiful wife of 49 years. Yea we got married during the turbulent 60's. I was nearly 20 and she was an outstandingly beautiful 18 year old surfer girl. In fact she was THE sister that every young brothers in our southern California circuit wanted to have as a girl friend and I was the envy of every young brother. She and I were feverishly in love. I still love her feverishly today even though we often clash over ttatt. She accepts my stance and I accept hers (for now).
The WORST day(s) of my life is sort of a draw since there were 2:
1) That day in 1977 (10 years into our marriage) that she told me she was f**king another guy and left me and our 2 lovely children for several months-----to find herself; and 2) the day that ttatt really took hold!
However, as I look back at it now, the day that ttatt really took hold also proved to be the BEST days of my life!
Like to hear yours if you care to share.

the wts has been keeping case files on child sex abuse for over 60 years that we know of.
*damn...my whole post disappeared.... .

Ironic that the borg knows or knew the names and addresses of all:
DO's, CO's, missionaries, special pioneers, regular pioneers, all elders and ms's, all bethel personnel, all df'ed, all pedophiles in the borg
BUT
they don't know who the 'anointed' brothers of christ are? What?

hey guys,.
i'm just venting here because obviously, i can vent to no one else because i am still in the congregation.. jws as a whole do nothing to help the poor, the homeless, the sick, the hungry, though some individual jws do.
because they are too busy giving to the gb.
jw's will take any government hand-out they can get--but will criticize the governments at every turn as 'evil agents' of satan!
jw's will take blood 'fractions'--but will not donate any blood so that those 'fractions' can be harvested!
Just a few examples that the borg encourages 'taking' not giving!
