i have never heard anyone say that i was an ex-catholic or an ex-lutheran or an ex-baptist.
they just stop going to their church and don't talk about it.. years after not stepping inside a kingdom hell, many of us still have to talk about being ex-jw's.

Years after not stepping inside a Kingdom Hell, many of us still have to talk about being ex-JW's. Were we so damaged that we just can't help ourselves or is it because we lost so many years of our lives that we are still pissed off about it?
Same reason that 80 later Nazi concentration camp survivors still talk about their experience!

i have been sadly watching as the number of jws in other countries are decreasing (for the most part), while the numbers in the us are strangely increasing.
while i question the organization's self reporting numbers, i think 2018 may be the year for another mass us exodus.
leah remini's show will be focusing on jws in her show on a&e.
What I have certainly notice of late is the wide spread apathy among jw's. Even the super, gong-ho jw's of yesteryear are now showing cracks in the armor that once seemed impenetrable. When the wife and I get together with other long time jw's, the conversation no longer centers on pioneering, serving where the need is great (where the great are needed), making big plans to attend a foreign convention and other typical jw talking items. Now it more on current events, who's getting married, (or divorced), retirement planning, and their new big screen tv.
No energy at the meeting just going along for the ride. APATHY rules the day among jw's.

with self-righteous indignation, the watchtower society (wts) points to its restoration of the hebrew tetragram (hwhy = “yahweh” = = = > “jehovah”) wherever the english translator renders it as “lord”..
the wts complains that the use of “lord” hides the fact that the name (“jehovah” for the wts) is intended.
however, with its call of “look over here, look over here”, the wts diverts attention, probably unintentionally, from related information that it, in turn, does not reveal..
"In the beginning, man created God, and look! it was very good." Then the sh*t hit the fan as to whose god was the best!

first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?
some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.

and some people are better off in prison or a mental health facility or in North Korea.

todays watchtower study is all about singing complete with instructions on how to sing.,............
"but we all have the responsibility to sing praises to jehovah.

I think that most fear,as I once did, the realization that all the 'sacred knowledge' that they believed for decades is actually bullsh*t. That is a very frightening prospect.
