Mine was a 1965 Ford Mustang, metallic blue, 3 speed 280 engine. I learned to drive in it and in 1971-72 in high school, it was considered "cool" car. Of course, the first time I drove it to school, I nearly burnt out the clutch at an intersection where I had to come to a complete stop. It was on an incline, in FLORIDA for cryin' out loud!

by pmouse inthere is a christmas cubicle decorating contest at work and i need a good idea that is simple, unobtrusive (toward my fellow cubicle mates) and won't block the sprinklers overhead.

Magick! I wish I had you helping me! You have great ideas! hey, the foiled cube was done to me on my birthday. Everything including the phone was foiled! It was a riot!
I love the Christmas house, but we're not allowed to do anything that would block the sprinkler system in case of a fire...so I'd have to figure out a way to leave some sort of opening. I'm so impressed. Did you do that???

Any thoughts, ideas? I don't want anything that will take hours and hours to assemble and dismantle. Not asking for much am I?

Have You Divorced And/Or Remarried- What Did You Learn From It ?
by flipper inin seeing a lot of posters threads , i feel i see many people who have been divorced at one time , and either have remarried or have stayed single .
i totally understand those who choose to stay single, as i was single for 6 years before i got married again !
as experts say, next to death it's one of the hardest experiences you'll go through !

Married at 17 as a witness, divorced 10 years later. Four years after that remarried non-witness which has lasted now for 20+ years.
Things learned:
- Being widowed is better than being divorced.
- Financial settlement is usually better AND you don't have to split the assets.
- You might actually still like the poor SOB
- No additional harrassment from him to you or the family
- I could actually support myself and my son, buy groceries, pay bills without a husband which was a lesson in self-sufficiency.
- I finally got to date who I wished and chose a husband without the witnesses pressuring me to marry the first boy I dated. I actually got to call off an engagement and was congratulated in lieu of being "reproved" publicly.
- Never ever get married as a teenager. Wait until you are an adult, understand yourself and what you really want in a mate.
- If you happen to be so unlucky as to choose another schmuck, feed him lots of butter and up the life insurance.

by pmouse inconversation with jesus.
many times when i am troubled or confused, i find comfort in sitting in my back yard and having a vodka and cranberry along with a quiet conversation with jesus.

Conversation with JesusMany times when I am troubled or confused, I find comfort in sitting in my back yard and having a vodka and cranberry along with a quiet conversation with Jesus. This happened to me again today after a particularly difficult day. I said "Jesus, why do I work so hard?"
And I heard the reply: "Men find many ways to demonstrate the love they have for their family. You work hard to have a peaceful, beautiful place for your friends and family to gather."
I said: "I thought that money was the root of all evil."
And the reply was: "No, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is a tool; it can be used for good or bad".
I was starting to feel better, but I still had that one burning
question, so I asked it. "Jesus," I said, "what is the meaning of life? Why am I here?"
He replied: "That is a question many men ask. The answer is in your heart and is different for everyone. I would love to chat with you some more, Senor, but for now, I have to finish mowing your lawn -

Oh Restrangled....I can imagine how awful that was! I know mine got away from me a couple of times, not far, but enough to scare the tweet out of me! They are so fast sometimes it seems they can move in the blink of an eye!

My husband walked home from elementary school one afternoon and was focused in on a brand new globe (he had always wanted one!). It wasn't until he turned around and saw the rest of the interior of the house that he realized the other stuff didn't belong to his family.
Evidently his parents had neglected to tell him that was the day they were moving. Poor kid. I think he never quite got over it.
