Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the first White female president.....2008. Unfortunately. I agree with obiwan -- if Colin Powell ran -- he would win -- I hope we get both in the next few years - we are a multicultural society and so there should be all people represented-- ever since 1776 all Presidents with the exception of JFK have been older male white anglo-saxon protestants (anglo-saxon in the true sense -- not necessarily descended from British but North Europe so Germany/Holland etc.) -- because the British are descended from the Germanic saxons amongst others anyway

Prayers in Restaurants....
by caspian inon bank holiday monday just gone, a dear kind older couple in the cong decided to take me and my good lady out for a slap up meal, to try to cheer us up after the recent upheaval in our life.
somehow i ended up with the bill.. anyway, this was the local italian trattoria were we often go, and are on first names terms with the staff and quite a few of the other regulars.
big mistake!!.
