it's a simple fact.

jw's cannot freely express themselves.

they can't freely tell another about a doubt or a question that they might have for fear they could be exposed to the elders.

i'm sure that would be the same answer for most parents, but how about those people without kids?

IMHO: The only person in a spiritual vacuum is the one who thinks they already know all there is to know and are no longer searching.

I assume this means all those who have MA and BA and even PhD is religious studies. The most blind people and the most deaf people are those that do not want to hear nd those who do not want to see - a person like Ray Franz who see things and then finally does something about it -- despite spending most of his life in it -- to me - is a man of utmost integrity.

there were many moments -- but the absolute killer for me was when Randy Waters critiqued the Daniel book and the one about when events of 3000 years ago were fulfilled between 2 watchtower articles published in 1938 -- and then when I saw the immortal -- so you believe a talking snake approaching a naked women who ate some fruit is the cause of all the worlds problems -- then I knew why I was on this board and in effect no longer able or willing to tolerate any more Bu-----t from the WTBTS

that believe women have nothing of "real value" to teach them about life in general or even about spirituality.. is this "belief" bible based or is it a personal belief?

My thoughts exactly -- I worship the ground women walk on -- I loveevery bit about them -- and the WTBTS would be a much better place if there were women on bodies of elders and especially on the Governing Body -- Strong women are wonderful -- there are some great women who post on this board - -Xena and Vivamus wrapped in Bluebubblegum are but two -- there are many more and I would love to meet you all some day
