Some of those GB members look a little creepy to me. LOL
I always wondered how we can pick and choose what is literal and what is symbolic in the book of Revalation.
Why is 144,000 a literal number and hell fire is symbolic? -

<div>LOL googlemagoogle that is so funny.
J-dubs always want to convert unbelieving mates. I remember when my niece got her first boyfriend, at least that we know of, at 18, my sister and the elders were pushing her to bring him to the meetings.
Some how that makes things look a little better to some of the "friends". LOL
My mom asks me every now and then about my fiance, "do you ever witness to him?" LOL
Very soon, I'm going to tell them that I am an apostate. Maybe using that word with them will get it through their heads. The only one I stand to lose is my oldest brother. And these days I am so annoyed and angry with him I wouldn't care if he decided to shun me. The only way I'll ever want to be friends with him is if he leaves the WT. He is so judgemental towards my Df'ed niece. He really treats her unfairly since she's gotten df'ed.
He is the same with me, the lost sheep, and I live with my fiance "in sin" and he overlooks it. -

Question regarding my nephew
by caz ini'm the aunty of 3 the boys i wrote about a few weeks ago who had lost their jw father to suicide.
my (16 year old) nephew has come to live with me and he has been brought up as a jw all of his life, although not baptised yet.
he hasn't made one mention of them or meetings at all since his father's death, ( 4 weeks ago) other than to tell me he was very disappointed in the lack of support shown his dad by the elders of his congregation during his lowest moments of depression and to the boys since.

<div>Hi Caz.
You are a great aunt to your nephews.
My advice is to send your nephew to therapy to deal with his father's suicide. Maybe you can seek out a therapist who has experience with J-dubs or cults.
Also, as the others have said, I don't think you should be critical of the witnesses and oppose his attending to the KH.
I wish you and your nephew all the best. </div> -

I really wish I could be a smart ass to my sister at times. I am once in awhile but implying it is not the "truth" would really make their heads spin.

Wow Delilah! Your hubby actually took the big plunge. I don't preach to my fiance at all. In fact I tell him the truth about the troof. When I was a little younger, early twenties I was still confused and would try to preach to non-witness boyfriends. Thank goodness I'm passed that. I'm glad your husband finally found his way back to reality.

I guess my family is in denial. They think one day I'll see the light and return to the "fold".
That night I ended up with my sister and her friend at this couple's house, witnesses of course. I sat there for almost two hours listening to witness talk.
They were talking about somebody in there sixties that professes to be of the annointed. And even though this seems quite young nobody can question him or her.
It is hard for me to believe, I once used to sound just as crazy. LOL

A friend of my sister asked me this about my fiance the other day. I said no that he is agnostic and I never preach to him about the bible or witnesses. HA HA! Why in the hell would they think I would! I guess they are just hoping.
I wanted to say I am not receptive towards it either. LOL That might have freaked them out to badly. And after all it was nice hanging out with my sister. I guess I shouldn't ruin it.
I'm living "in sin" w/ my fiance and though I've never been Df'ed or Da'ed it is ok for them to hang out with me. Not that I am complaining. And i don't hang out with them all the time, this was a rare event actually.
But my niece who was Df'ed cannot hang out with her mother while her mom is around witness friends.
All there lame rules. I wonder if they ever think about how backwards they are.
