  Do Jehovah's Witnesses Depend on Mental Illness?

  if you still go to meetings, take a good look around the kingdom hall next time you attend and think about what you are.

  likely seeing.. many witnesses will sit in a half-awake mode - despite confronting a risk to life or limb in attending, because of bad weather or the sort.

  of neighborhood the hall is located in.

  I believe you are right , the WTS seeks out and takes complete advantage of people with "issues" and what they don't exploit from without they actively create from within!

  Tempers A Flare at "Quick Builds"

  have any of you noticed that when "quick built", kh.

  were being done that many tempers flared amongst brothers.

  some were vicious and cruel and rude.

  I've been in the remodeling business for 22 years and worked a few Quick-Builds. I hated to bring my work truck to the site because the Bros would just help themselves to my tools. I found one kid smacking rocks with my framing hammer! One overseer told...not asked, told...me to come back the following weekend and install a huge patio outside. Like a good little Nit-Witness I bought the brick and came the next weekend to do the work. I thought there would be a crew of volunteers. Stupid me! ONE BRO showed up and it was not that butt-head Elder. I worked like a dog all weekend and when I gave that Elder the bill for the brick he was angry! He thought I was going to pay for it! If that had been a worldly job I would have gotten over $2000 for the labor alone and this loser wanted me to pay for the brick too? Never again! They would call me and I would just never call them back!

  Do ALL men cheat??

  i was watching an old eddie murphy hbo special a few weeks ago where he was talking about relationships.

  in his bit, he went off on how all men cheat on their wives and girlfriends.

  he was adamant that even the nicest of guys will take the opportunity to cheat if given the chance and that women need to understand that this is the way it is, 100% of the time.

  Good point ballistic! But that is no excuse! If anything I personally should have been more considerate of my GF because I knew how awful it felt! Slap me!

  In all my relationships up to and including being married for 15 years I never cheated. Since the divorce I did not care and was almost never faithful to any woman I dated. My current GF has had to deal with my mid-life, obvious low self esteem driven behavior. I have been working hard to behave. Once you fall it is a lot easier to fall again. My advice is, "Guys, NEVER GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!"

  problems with JW girlfriend and her family

  i'll make this short, but i've been looking for answers and need actual human communication- not just a book or website.. up until 12/26/04, my "girlfriend" and i had been sneaking around to see each other.

  we became professionals.

  she would always say "i shouldn't be doing this" and such, but eventually that mindset wore away and our love took over.

  Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.

  upon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.

  they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.

  i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

  My GF is a JW whose grown daughter came to visit over the Holidays. They went to the Assembly. I asked her about it. She told me they talked to old friends and met up with people they had not seen since the daughter moved away and got married a few years back. I asked about the program. She had this blank look, "The program...the talks?" She shook her head and said she was playing with her grandson and had no idea what the ding-dongs on the platform were talking about.

  Jehovah the God Of Tupperware

  amazing program.

  anyway it struck me that i could have been watching a tv show on the history of the watchtower.

  Remember the local yokels make up their own rules on these things. Besides who really are these men? They're just some guys who are better than average suck-ups and were told by a book printing company that God has blessed them and they are stupid enough to believe it! If anyone needs some spiritual guidence it's them!

  Are/Were California witnesses REALLY different?

  When I was packing to move from Florida to So. Cal. in 1980 the Fla. Bros. warned me about the JWW's or Jehovah's Wild Witnesses. Living, working and being an active JW for six years in California did teach me alot about different cultures, interracial marriage and such but the JW's were basically the same repressed drones they are in other places I have been. There is so much more to do and to be exposed to there and it is problably harder to isolate the minds of the Witlesses there than say Nebraska. There were so many more people to deal with from so many places. I went to the District Conventions at Dodger Stadium and the Sunday attendance would peak 55,000.

  When you would hear of a Congregation somewhere other than Cal. having a bunch of people get DF'd for wife-swapping the friends would be shocked and comment on it. But if that Congregation was in California the friends would comment on that fact first as a sort of proof that in was the LOCATION that caused the problem.
