What is your, "Unforgivable Sin?"
by Maverick inthe wts has made vague statements about the unforgivable sin metioned in the bible but we all know that you can curse god and jesus and be forgiven but should you promote the idea that the wts is not god's only earthly channel and that organization is a fraud, that will not be forgiven.. on a person note, should you guys call a woman by the wrong name when you are first trying to get to know her, that will not be forgiven, especially if you call her a co-workers name!.

Very good points all. I try to play nice and be cool with people until they try to take advantage of me or take me for granted, then Mr. Jerk comes out and I'm over them....for good! I wonder if some people mistake being easy going and helpful for being weak and a stooge. I saw this often in the Nit-Witness world at Ass emblies. You could read if as if in was printed across their foreheads..."How can I take advantage of this guy?"

As a JW at age 28 I married a girl 18. It lasted 14 years, most of which time she was unhappy. Since age 42 I have dated women as young at 28 and as old as 62. The older ones where much more fun. My daughter's friends, 18-25 are nice to chat with for about five minutes then they cause this curious reaction, my eyes roll! At age 50 I could have sex with an adult women of just about any age but I would not want to have to spend much time with most of them outside the bedroom. My current GF, like my ex, is ten years younger than me but the difference from 40 to 50 is nowhere close to the difference of 18 to 28.
I teach Salsa Dancing on the weekends and there are many older men who come to check things out. They all have one thing in common, they only dance with the young hotties, I dance with every woman who is willing, young, old, fat, beautiful, plain. They are all fun. The other instructors hate these old creeps and watch them very closely. We have even thold a few the leave.

New Light?

firstly, it does not even mention "new light" at all!
secondly, who can read the whole chapter and honestly say this is about god's progressive revelation of informaton to an organisation appointed by jesus to teach people truth in the last days?.

When the WTS exposes the RF to new light does that mean the previous information is now old light or anti-light? If the old information is now anti-light is that not the same as darkness? So the WTS was teaching darkness before and is now teaching light? They pass it off on Jehovah revealing His truths in His due time, so the WTS puts the responsibility on God for the old dark teaching. They then in turn claim the credit for getting this new light to the RF and put the responsibility for telling the people in darkness about these new revelations from God on the RF. In time this new light will itself be old and therefore anti-light that will need to be explained away to the people in darkness, both the RF and the poor SOBs that pay any attention to them.

Outoftheorg, it is quite natural to have the feelings you have expressed. I check this site every day but rarely post. If I see that someone has covered the point I was thinking I just let it go. My ex-wife is a nit-witness and so are two of my sisters. Even my GF is a pretend JW and there are a lot more of those than one may think! So I like to keep up with the lastest crap on the smooth-brained WTS. They still do not Nit-Witness on my street and run when they see me in public. It is a nice feeling to be noticed! By keeping current I can counter any of the lastest BS from their poop factory at Bethel. I look forward to the Memorial and Holiday times because a lot of newbees are still hung up on the WTS stupidness. Maverick

Are you a Chatty Cathy around strangers?
by Maverick inmy gf and i just came back from london and scotland and this came up during the trip.
i like to joke and make small talk with the service people and other guests i encounter while my gf thinks this behavior is rude.
in all fareness she is from the north, conn. and only moved to the south a few years ago, while i moved from mass.

Thanks for the imput! When I was in London we took the river tour and the captain of the boat was just standing on the rail watching the tourists load on. He looked totally bored and depressed, as I walked up to the gangway I asked him if we were having fun yet? He looked a bit surprised but after a second he said, "You bet!" Then I noticed this fellow start smiling and joking with the people as they got on, he was in fact having fun! My GF would give me looks...all you guys know what looks I'm speaking of...when I start cracking wise with people. My feelings about that....Too Bad!
