Yes! I gave that knuckle-headed bunch the most productive years of my life, (24-47), thinking I had forever to do the things I wanted. I have lived more in the last three years than the fifteen previous. I grab opportunities with both hands and go for it! Maverick

My Memorial Experience
by dedalus ini forgot all about the memorial.
(fortunately, my wife and i did not accidentally partake of any saltines or grape juice.).
so, on this year's nisen 14, i played some racquetball in the late afternoon with one of my brothers, and in the evening i had a wonderful dinner with my wife and daughter.

How Quickly the "Truth" Evaporates
by metatron inanother powerful observation about witness kids: it's amazing how quickly the "truth" can evaporate amidst them.. while you and i talk about healing and moving on and agonize about changing our whole lives, many of these kids.
react as if the organization never meant anything to them.. i knew a young sister who left ( an honor roll student with long term witness parents, elder dad and aux pio mother).
who acted astonished that the congregation would df people for "living together".

Again this relates to Blondies WatchTower lesson this week. The backlash of a controlled closed society is when the restraint is removed people revert to 'type'. They may not even be aware of their own true feelings because they suppressed them. The longer a person lives the lie, (goes against his/her true nature), the more depression and unhappiness they will suffer. The Society is not based in reality, it can not give people what they need. It has you forgo the needs you have by promises of a better future. And then it puts the resulting misery back on the person or worse on God! What does the Society really GIVE you? Bottom line it. Maverick

JH: I always considered myself a worldly kind of person. Even as a J-dud. I was 24 when I started to study with the Duds. Had a lot of hard edges. Being a little guy, 5'5" I learned not to take crap from anyone and get right up in their face when they tried. Never lost that. I wouldn't look for trouble but I wouldn't back down from it when it came my way. The Duds never took to me because of that I guess. Maverick

Thanks again Blondie! The J-dud Masters use this one scripture Matt. 25:45-47 over and over again. I suspect the RF get it in their heads that there are a number of supporting Bible verses for this FDS concept. They give the fragil, hoping RF any little straw to grasp so these poor people will hold on until the "New System"! Look ahead, look ahead! To get back to the article. I was under the impression that the boy who was injured was not the owner of the gun. He just wanted to look down the barrel and the gun went off. He is a little boy. Back from the Memorial
by ScoobySnax inwell like i say, just got back from the memorial, have been going most years, but this year i went by chance (knew it was roughly at 7pm at the nearest kh) to my old congregation that i grew up in.
i didn't find the "evil" people spoke of here on this forum, or those too stupid to see.
all i did see was people i hadn't seen in years, and let me tell you, what lovely people they were.

I have fired potatoe guns here in Florida. If they are constructed correctly and primed with the right propellant, (such as WD-40), they can pack quite a punch. The facial bones of a child are not that hard, and there are small connective surfaces in and around the eyes and nose. It is very possible to severely damage this region of the face. This story is plausible. Maverick
