Can Baptisms be anulled?
by Azalo ini was baptised when i was 12 years old and i dont feel like at that age i was mature enough to take such a drastic step.
i dont think its right to be df'd for something that i never really did since the baptism is really only a symbol of the dedication and i never did that.
i just was going along with the flow.

I wrote a baptism nullification letter and sent it in Jan of this year. I sent copies to about fifty people I knew and had it posted on four different web sites. It took the brothers about six weeks to figure out what to do. They changed my status to that of an unbaptized publisher and disassociated me. So technically anyone who wants can associate with me without official recourse. Then they spead gossip and rumors about what a big apostate I am. I still have JW's that see me and talk to me. But the attitude with the Duds is a person who quits is sick and/or evil. I called the PO a retired grocery clerk, coward and a lier, and the CO a corporate inspector general who never had a real job. I called the Governing Body demigods and hypocites. They did not DF me for apostacy. The CO told them to avoid the Baptism Nullification altogether. Maverick

The WTBTS and Incipient Creature Worship: Are the Anointed Now Demigods?
by Room 215 ini'm prompted to ask this question as i ponder the troubling picture found on page 260 of my wife's isaiah volume two book.
as farkel noted in a previous thread related to this illustration, there's nothing inadvertant about anything depicted in their literature; illustrations such as these are calculated and group-approved for the imagery and message they convey.
as those of you with access to the book in question are aware, staring back at the reader are four cadaverous faces of recognizable members of the governing body surmounting an array of smaller portraits of a non-descript multi-ethnic and varied age assemblage of ``other sheep.".

The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses step before the Throne of God and proclaim they have His ear! They have usurped Jesus as mankinds meditor and blessed themselves as the RF's only true hope! They are mean, petty, spiteful and dishonest, all the while calling what they do love! The gods of the ancients could take lessons from this evil bunch! Maverick

unclean thoughts are what happen when you see a particularly fine specimen of the sex you enjoy looking at the most and you consider what you would like to do with them.

The Dixie Chicks
by Stan Conroy ini don't understand the logic of boycotting the dixie chicks because of the comments the singer made about being ashamed that bush is from texas.
it doesn't make sense to me.
keep in mind that i'm just a canadian, so maybe i'm just not tuned in to the american way of thinking.

Freedom has a price, but as for the Dixie Chicks, a group I really like, their 'crime' was spouting against a fellow Texan outside the US. They were in a foreign country. This was perceived as a very cowardly and disloyal thing by Americans. We will give our government-a-rash of shit at home. But don't try to appease a bunch of foreigners trying to be politically correct!
As for inciting others to act in accordance to a cause or ideal for or against some person or group, silly me, I thought that is why we are on this forum. Sounds a little hypocritical people! Maverick

I mailed out 20 copies of the NGO letter today to the gossip mongers that I knew among the J-duds. I put the PO's return address on all the letters. He is going to have a very interesting week, the prick! Maverick

More conditional, emotional blackmail...business as usual for the Duds
by Maverick inmy daughter is graduating from high school next month.
she has lived with me all her life.
her mother, a good and faithful dud, ran off with a 'worldly' co-worker five years ago.

I want to thank everyone for their comments and advice. I talked to my baby about this today and the things you all said really helped me. I told my daughter that the graduation was her day, not mine or her mothers but hers. She finished high school, she did the work and I was proud of her. And if we let her mother push us around what would happen when she got married or had her first child. It would never end! She seemed to like my comments, which are composites from what you all said. I will be there. My daughter said if her mother goes or not that is up to mom not us. And it is unfair to put in back on us. She sees how phony the religion is, her words. Thanks again! Maverick

I sure hope everyone will be ok. The old fellow too. Sometimes the guilt laid on an older person could cause that one to give up and die. I am sure he feels terrible. Older J-duds were never prepared to deal with old age, (the new system was to be here years go remember). They don't handle aging well. Especially the men. Maverick

Are JW lawyers crooked?
by Jerry Bergman inis the following the real situation?
just got off the phone with a brother this morning.
he walked out of the watchtower study due to offensive remarks on the abuse issue.

Why was the lion following the elephants and eating their dung? He just ate a lawyer and was trying to get the taste out of his mouth!
Why did the French Doctor get the national heros award? He perfected lobotomies for lawyers, rectally!
What do sperm and a lawyer have in common? They both have a one and ten million chance of becoming a human. Maverick

When I was a dud the first few years I went out in 'Service' whenever I could. I had some Holidays off and would go to meet for service and there would hardly be anyone out. And I found out why very quickly. It was terrible witnessing on worldly holidays. People really treated us like crap! I stopped after about three years. Now I work for myself and my clients are so grateful that I am willing to finish up their projects even on a holiday they are glad to give me a nice tip and even offer to include me in their festivities. And I have noticed no duds acoming! Maverick
