  Submitting a DA letter and walking away?

  i have been perusing through the many boe documents i have recently received and noticed something interesting.

  regarding ones who disassociate themselves, there have been many discussions on this board where people tell others not write a letter as you are giving away any legal footing you may have against the society.

  well, it appears that there are two routes you can take without officially getting da'd, according to the society's own documents.

  True, ignorance is no excuss, but duplicity is! The claim is that I was lied to and that I acted in good faith and they were deceitful. Gumby, ignorance on the law is usually applied when the accussed is standing before the STATE not some corporation.

  My claim is that the Corporation surperseded their realigious subpartner. I never knowingly made a vow to any corporation. This corporation inserted itself between me and my vow to God. That was my reasoning. They, on the other hand, do not want to go there at all. They do not want the business to enter into the picture. So they changed my status and got rid of me. And then they could put whatever spin on it they wanted. The results to them is the same...neutralize this person and move on. I understand self-promotion, so I made lots of copies and blitzed the whole county with my BN letter. Made a big stink! I feel if I had just sent in the letter they would have DF'd me and told me Tough Shit pal! But because I went public they were careful how they handled it. If you use the right approch you can get out of any contract, I know, I have done it!

  In summary, I think as J-duds we were trained to roll over and take it. J-duds give in too easily, they rat themselves out at the drop of a hat. Just because they say it, don't make it so! Make them work for it, and if I've learned one thing in my time as a Dud, NEVER TELL THEM ANYTHING THEY CAN HURT YOU WITH! Maverick

  are there questions like when you get baptized?

  has anybody here ever turned down an offer to be an elder?

  Hey Minimus, what Hall did you go to? I don't remember the singing and chanting stuff. Those meetings always had a hard edge to them, like a corporate meeting when someone is going to get his butt chewed and you hoped it was not you. Even the jokes were forced. If the Brother had a 'higher' rank, you laughed. I always kepted my month shut. I had a young wife I want to get 'back' to. Some...MOST of these guys had no sex life or something! I always begged off from being on any judical commitees. I didn't want to know that stuff! Maverick

  Dear Jourles: I didn't mean to take over this thread. How are you doing? Keep us updated on your situation.

  I was never at Olympus,(Brooklyn). I am a high-end specialty contractor. I have to read contracts and look for the loopholes to CYA.

  Keep it mind what I said before, the J-dud Masters talk out of both sides of their mouths. Officially, I am free to be me. But the 'word' went out fast through the unoffical J-dud media, (gossip) that I have horns and a pitchfork! I am well loved by my female admirers and respected by a few of the brothers so I get all kinds of inside crap on the local J-dud Masters. What I am saying is the duds will treat you like they are told to treat you regardless. God himself could vouch for you and the duds would not listen if the locals said different. Maverick

So basically what is being said is that the 'apostacy' being spoken of is the failing away or standing back from the Governingbodygod and has nothing to do with the True God at all. Do I have that right? We are all apostates of the demigods in Brooklyn? We are apostates of the big apostates. Doesn't that cancel out?   When is depression a good thing?

  the last five years i was a dud i suffered chronic depression.

  not debilitating depression, but a low- grade constant dissatisfaction with whatever!

I love what I do and have almost celebrity status in my field, both in Fla. and Mich. I firmly believe that if I had a low paying job I hated, I would have thrown a rope over a beam in the garage and hung myself in 1997.

  The day I realized the J-duds were full of shit, my depression ended. It never came back. I feel good about me, my life, and my place in the universe!

  I content that just as phyical pain tell the body something is wrong, mental pain tell the mind and heart the same thing. On some level my subconscience knew I was living a lie. The longer I fought it the more miserable I felt inside. And this is why so many J-duds are unhappy. Am I full of shit or what? Maverick

  I am glad the J-dud homies can't do a drive-by on me, ( would be unchristian even for them phonies). I know they'd like to though.

  My ex told my daughter that she heard I was some kinda secret agent guy or something and that is why I travel a lot and have money and a concealed weapons permit. So I got a good rep. and the Duds know I'll shoot back if they tries to wack me! What a bunch of do do. I think she needs to up her dose of lithium! Maverick, of the 007.5 class.

  I liked how they danced around the true WatchTower definition of Aposatcy.( Showing signs of doubting or promoting doubt for ANY teaching or interpretation from the Society.)

  Any lack of total loyalty to the Society is linked with their claim to being God's ONLY spokesmen. Doubting them means you doubt God,Your History! You Bad, Bad, People!!! Maverick

  Good question Pete! They would not contest my grounds for claiming that I was baptized under misleading pretenses. If you have the 1988 WT BV look up 11/15 pgs. 18-19 paragraphs 16-18. This outlines the treatment of an unbaptized publisher who does not want to continue to associate with the J-duds. Now remember the J-dud Master talk out of both sides of their month. Maverick

  just reading 'in search of christian freedom' and come across this quote which seems to hit the nail on the head regarding the genuine love among the elders.:.

  " whilst serving as an elder in the warrenton, virginia congregation, i went with the presiding overseer to investigate an alleged indiscretion reported by telephone from the elders of a neighboring congregation about an elderly, inactive, widowed sister, living in yet another congregations territory, taking care of a comatose old lady for her livelihood.. when we arrived, he questioned the sister about her supposed indiscretion ( the charge was based purely on conjecture ).

  I wrote a four page letter to the CO outlining the things that had happened to me over the previous several years explaining why I faded away. I was an MS and nobody came looking. He sent me this sweet little letter saying he would check on me when he came back around,( in six months)! He never did either, the prick. He's sorry now. I make lots of trouble around here. I'm a nice guy, but I'm well known and have been a major pain-in-the-ass for the local duds! And I'm not done yet either! Maverick
