  I have an eighteen year old daughter, but there are whole days I don't see her. But I can honestly say after being married to a bi-polar J-dud for 15 years, this is really nice. I have some close 'friends' and travel all over the world. I have my health and my freedom from those babbling idiots. Life is good! Maverick

  JW's that tried to Blackball my Hubby in work , since D/A

  many of you know that my husband's work is fixing hail damage in cars, and that we have traveled for 10 years from colorado, texas, ok, kansas, etc.

  but those mainly were his best contacts , and also all jw's in the business.. last summer one of our best contacts who lives in co, called to tell my husband that he had a hail storm hit that very day, and said that since he has d/a himself he will no longer work him.

  i understand that some may not let their conscience do that being firm jw believers.

  Interesting account LyinEyes: I too provide a service for which I am highly regarded. And over the years had worked for many J-duds. I was burned so often and treated so poorly that I slowly begged off from doing any work for them. In the end I make more money, (no dud discounts) never get ripped off, (last bad check was an elder in my own Hall) and am much happier! I recommend kissing off all J-duds in business. They have NO ethics, do crappy work, are ungrateful, and will backstab you in a minute. I have found the higher in the food chain the J-dud is the lazier he is. You will be blessed for being rid of them. Maverick

  at the last district convention, the book "worship the only true god" was released intended to be used along with the "knowledge" book on home bible studies.

  both books are to be studied before baptism.

  so, what are the 'new recruits' learning?

  I have noticed that with the Society everything is conditional. Example, you are not a liar if you don't tell someone something they are not entitled to know. Who determines what a person should or should not know? They do of course. They redefine what love is using the different Greek words to comparmentalize how these kinds of love should be felt and expressed. The average person is not prepared to dispute this 'logic'. The Bible study slowly begins to apply the Society's 'love standard' to everyone they interact with. This puts people into categories; worldling, faithful witness, government official, false religionist, etc. And once the study labels people they are no longer thought of as people but the label. And now 'love' becomes totally conditional. The Society goes even further by making it very basic, us or them, for God or for the Devil. At that point love is just a shell of its former self and they become a hateful, selfish, judgemental group just like their bosses. Maverick

  i wanted to pass on a recent experience i had.

  my mother passed away a few months ago.

  the funeral was poised to be a sensitive issue since, when i left the truth 4 years ago, none of my children (all adults and still active in their faith) have spoken to me.

  so, the organization never makes any mistakes, the elders are appointed by god, you should attend all the meetings.

  because "it's the truth", blah blah, blah.. .

  in my experience, as long as you're not too aggressive about it, there are three serious problems in the organization.

  Funny, I was thinking about this the other day. I sent a letter last Monday, to this 'brother' at my old Hall thanking him for all he did to me. In my letter I told him that in large measure it was his two-face, backstabbing gossip that got me thinking that God was not with these people. Between him and my very best friend, (the EX), and all the lies and deceit they perpetrated with impunity I had come to know that God had no more interest in overseeing that organization than my cat. I also mentioned that when I wrote the CO about all his gossip, no action of any kind took place. I stated that he had a very important function in the Society and that gossip is the media used to spread lies and denigrate poeple they can not offically slander. He opened my eyes to "the fraud of God's people."

  I have written letters about this guy to others that he gossiped to me about. My spies tell me these ones avoid him now. I'm not done with him either.

  I wrote a little saying after dealing with him: "There is no greater enemy than a friend betrayed!" Maverick

  Why does the US call itself ALONE"America"?

  as far as i'm concerned, the united states is in north america, just like canada and mexico.

  so why do americans think "america" means only the us?

  so often i hear americans talk about the us as "america".. .

  Now let's look at a term that riles me up as a Southern boy. American of Southern heritage that is! Why do you Brits and Aussies call me a Yank. Come here and do that and you'll get a load of rocksalt in yer britches! Yankees are northern Americans. Notice northern is lower case and Southern is upper case? Y-all need to get that right. I know the origin of the term but you need to know we in the South do not like being called Yankees! Maverick
