I recommend contacting the State Attorney General's Office, Consumer Affairs department: http://www.wa.gov/ago/consumer/. AND I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, (206) 488-3222. AND I would go back to Sam Goody and speak with the store manager (unless it's some mindless 18-year old running the store), tell him your story and tell him that you're filing complaints with both the Attorney General's office and the BBB.

A real scam, Sam Goody sold my credit card number.

it had a subscription label with my husband's name and our address.

An elder left a paper at my door
by JH insince the last 6 weeks, the elders are trying to get a hold of me, but i specialize in being invisible.
so now they left a little paper at my door asking that i call elder x so that he can talk to me.
do you think i should keep on avoiding them since they are about to end their 3 month call on inactive ones?

Wow, you actually got something. I've been "away" and inactive from my congregation for over 10 years and no one has ever bothered to call on me at my home. Not even my closest, so called best friends. Actually, I think I prefer it that way.

I now know my faith in the JW organization was not real. I did it because it was the religion my mother picked for us. I did it because I made friends. When I left the congregation down south and moved north, that's when it really hit me; the real reasons I stayed. It only took another three years for me to finally leave. No one has contacted me. None of my "friends" in the congreation here have ever tried to contact me. No love lost there.
