Q for Brits...Britpop New Labour
by Huxley ini just finished watching a documentary entitled, "live forever".
(no intentional jw reference there..) it was about the time period in the early 90's to about 97 when britpop was huge.. i've been listening to a lot of music from that period lately.
early stone roses, pulp, etc...the whole britpop thing went pretty much unnoticed here, actually a fellow bethelite introduced me to a lot of it..he snuck out to see echobelly when they played in nyc!.

Simon, Celtic, and Cityfan...
Thanks for sharing your views/ and experiences!
Cityfan, I loved 24hr party people! I guess I'm a coming out Anglophile.
I've been spending way too much time here...my local English style pub.
Actually had my first scotch egg here too...

2004 District Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses
by jwnews in2004 district conventions of jehovah's witnesses
this summer jehovah's witnesses will host 211 conventions in 63 cities in the contiguous united states.
the public is invited to attend any of these three-day events, which will feature free bible-based presentations under the theme "walk with god.
-
Huxley
Sorry, I'll be attending a similar convention elsewhere...
THE 2004 WOK WITH GOD District convention.
It's should be a delightful 3 days.
All in attendance will no doubt be joyous to receive insightful timely instruction regarding 'Asian cooking that's good enough for Jehovah'.
Personally I am thrilled about the keynote address...
"General Tso's spicy manna cakes...and your future."
Timely and sacralicious...

Thanks to everyone (and let me introduce myself)....
by TallTexan inrandy was kind enough to recently post my story on his website (www.exjws.net/pioneers/rjjw.htm) the response i received was overwhelming, with many invitations to join this discussion forum.
i won't go into my story, as it is posted and, as long as it is, is really only the tip of the iceberg.
the more i read and the more i talk to former jw's, the more i'm convinced that i have been duped..something i never thought would happen to me, as cynical as i am.
