  i've read over and over again in mystic writings this basic idea about "oneness" is that "you" are the world, you are making the sun shine,, you are everything and hence the world is you.

  everything in space time is an illusion of the mind and thought,,, and that there is this nonfragmentary consciousness of it all, that is nothing like the the fragmentary nature of human thought.

  Cyclists?

  are there any other people here who are into bicycling or handcycling?.

  last year, my husband got a handcycle (he can't use a bicycle due to handicap) and i got a new bicycle and we have been enjoying cycling.

  last september, we went on our first cycling tour and did the 20 mile.

  Hey Avishai, I've heard he is a J Dub. I read an interview with him that took place around 2004, and it was mentioned that he was "religious" but I didn't hear him talk about being a witness at all. It left me wondering about his connection to the Dubs too... Huxley

  Do you think that the Governing Body will pick JW women when men die off?

  i know this might seem like a big laughable joke, but i was wondering what will happen when all of the gb members die off or get too old to continue as gb members?

  will they start to pick jw women who claim to be of the annoited and or old enough to be alive during 1935?

  evidently the chosen will get too old to carry on and there will be "new light" to say that young jw can be of the annointed and gb.

  Welcome! Your story hit home with me! not too long ago I felt that same rush of finally allowing myself to question the "truths" that I grew up with. I too dropped that DA letter in the mailbox and left it all behind. Isn't it a clean, and refreshing feeling to be totally honest about your core beliefs? It's a bit like minty mouthwash for the mind. Enjoy your new liberty, it's worth the price! Huxley

  Obliteration of the ego

  at long last i feel i have come to a great spiritual truth: the human ego stands as an impediment towards self-realization and must be obliterated, or at least diminished.

  i have seen this as a running thread throughout many of the readings i have done -- from buddha and shankara to meister eckhart to arch-skeptic and atheist dr. albert ellis, the idea is to get beyond this concept of i. .
